Lucid Dreaming: Dream Recall

Dreams are a lot of fun. You can be and do anything you want in your dreams, there is no limits to what you can do in them or with them. Wnat superpowers? Check. Want to transform into things? Check!Want to fly, or be a spy, or have exciting adventures? meet someone you could never meet otherwise? You can do all this and more!
Recalling your dreams is also a bridge to understand yourself better, work out unconscious fears, solve problems that are troubling you, and are also a great source of inspiration- whether you are a writer, artist, musician (yes! you can write music in your dreams!) or work in a similar field that requires the use of imagination.
Some of you may be saying- “but I’ve never dreamt!”
That’s not true! You dream every night, the only problem is, you can’t remember what you’ve been dreaming about, and if you can’t remember what you’ve been dreaming, then you can not take control of your dreams.
But What is “Lucid Dreaming” anyway?
Lucid dreaming is simply your awareness during a dream. When you are completely aware that you are dreaming, then you are having a lucid dream. Lucid dreams are often more vivid, and thus can be recalled easier.
Can you control your dreams?
You totally can! In fact, you are always in control of your dream, only this occurs to an unconscious level.
All you need to do to control your dream consciously is develop an awareness of your dream state, then realize you are actually dreaming, and finally start trying to modify your dream to your liking, little by little. But, this is something I will explain in more detail in a future article.
In this article, I will attempt to enumerate tips and tricks to recall your dreams, to have more lucid dreams, and to begin your learning in the art of controlling your dreams.
You must remember we are all different and tips that work for one person may not work for another. Dream recalling can sometimes be difficult, and requires patience and practice.
Do not perform any of these tricks if you are not comfortable with them.
- Keep A Dream Journal/Dream Diary:
Keeping a dream journal is, I would say, a vital part on recalling your dreams. This improves your memory, and given time, you will find you remember your dreams more and more often.
