We all know that meeting someone we like could be a little stressing most especially on the first date. The first impression is very important on the first meet ups, we do not want to jeopardize the day just because of one wrong action. You always want to assure that everything will be perfect from the start you step in front of your date until you say goodbye to each other with a smile on your lips. But it should not end just like that; everybody expects that there will be more dates to follow as a good measure that he/she enjoyed the first time you are together. That is why it is always a great thing to leave a long lasting first impression. Here are some tips to be the best version of yourself when you meet him/her.

· Good grooming is absolutely essential. Personal hygiene is of utmost importance, especially when it comes to your breath. You wouldn’t want anyone assaulted with less than pleasant odor as you carry on a conversation. It is not necessary to wear expensive clothes just to impress your date. Neat, clean and well fitted clothes will do. Your nails should be properly trimmed and thoroughly cleaned, and don’t forget to fix your hair properly. To girls, you need not to put heavy make ups on your face, a light make ups is enough to add freshness on your look. Do not over accessorize your body limit it to seven accessories including bag, shoes and belt.

· Time is of the essence. Be on time whenever, wherever or however you are meeting up. Most especially to guys, be sure to arrive first in the meeting place before your dates. Girls don’t want to wait alone mostly for a long period of time. Some would probably leave because they are uncomfortable with the people staring at them. If you are going to fetch her at home, be sure to come at least 10-15 minutes before she is done dressing up. Do not let the girl wait for an hour or else she would not come anymore. Girls want to be seen by their dates still fresh and good looking. At least if you come earlier you are already there to compliment her as she expects. That means zero waiting time and bonus cool points for you.

· Be interested and interesting. Show to your date that you are interested with him/her by asking smart, appropriate questions. If you are being asked, answer the question without monopolizing the whole conversation by throwing back a relevant question. Do not be too showy regarding your achievements, possessions and physical appearance just to be look interesting, or you will be sounded boastful. Unless she/he is interested to talk about it further. Try to start a topic that is agreeable and enjoyable to both of you. Add a dash of wit and there’s no chance of boredom seeping into you conversation.

· Talk now text later. When you are on a date make sure that your mobile phone is turned off or in a silent mode. Keep yourself from using your mobile phone as long as you’re with him/her. To show that you are attentive and focused to your conversation, not distracted by other matters. Politeness counts a lot.

· Laugh a little. Pack a sense of humor to break the ice with a little levity. Open up and shares some funny anecdotes that you can both relate. Do not be too exaggerated and over acting when you laugh. Put a little finesse.
