Marvelous Molting
Who needs the lure of exotic getaways when summertime “molting” works so well?
Molting is good for you.
I don’t mean you have to shed fur or feathers to be healthy. I’m talking about yard-molting.
In the summer, when it’s just-right warm, and the only breeze blowing is a warm one. When butterflies are playing tag through the long grass, with an energy that makes you suspect they’ve been nipping at the energy drink you left out the night before, and hummingbirds are gaining ounces right before your eyes because they just can’t stop sipping at the flowers in the garden.
It’s the perfect time to sit and simply molt—relax every muscle, toss every care into the garbage disposal, and admire how incredibly blue the sky is. It is one of the best things in the world to do in the summer, great for renewing the mind and revitalizing the spirit.
Some people go to Hawaii in the summertime.
Not me.
I molt.
