Meeting a New Mate

When you really want to meet someone new, will you really go out of your way to meet them?  If you never try to meet new people, you will still meet new people.  If you want to meet someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with then you have to go out of you way to meet them.  I am retired and I don’t go to a lot of different places just to meet people.  If people are bored they will go out on the town thinking their new mate will be there.  That never really happens because life does not work that way.  

The next time you think about going out, think about what type of person you are looking for.  If the bar group is not your life style, then why are you going to a bar?  Every age group wants to meet someone who has the same ideas as they have.  With this idea in your mind, why would you not go some place where people want the same life style?  I have had people tell me they loved to do something and I have called them, Most of the people was never able to find time to join me.  These people just wanted someone to talk with at that time.  If you spend some extra to look for that special person, you will find them.

The phone book is a good place to start looking because you can pick a place that fits your life style.  The yellow pages has hundreds of places where people go that has your life style.  If you want to meet a person that loves to go dancing and they don’t want to hang out in a night club, then look for dancing groups in the phone book.  The person you meet there will not bore you with things you do not like.  You don’t even have to ask the person you meet there if they like dancing.

I had a lady friend was into horse back riding who could never find anyone to ride with her.  She looked in the phone book for riding stables and since she lived in a big town there was three of them.  She started going to the stables and after three times a man started talking to her about horses.  After she told me about meeting him, I did not see her for about six months. It has got cold and she had stopped riding horses for the year. She has been dating the guy she meet at the stables and he was going to join her that after he got off work.
