More Risk, More Profit: Really?

Most people do believe in this statement and the remaining people just make it ‘calculated risk’ in place of ‘risk’ and then, they are also OK with the statement.

Well, seemingly this doesn’t sound like a debatable thought to many people. Most people do believe in this statement and the remaining people just make it ’calculated risk’ in place of ‘risk’ and then, they are also OK with the statement. I differ; unless the risk is so much calculated that there is 100% surety that even if there is no profit, there will be no loss at least. Then technically, it is no more a risk actually.

Life doesn’t give warning messages, mostly. There are risks by default in every action. We should try minimizing them rather than adding to them. I have seen successful people who took big risks in their life and also, I have seen people getting equally successful without taking risks. In both these categories, I think that people who took risk were luckier, as even after taking a risk they succeeded! So if you think that you are luckier than the ’normal’ masses, then you may choose to take the risks. On the other side, I have seen people ruined and dispossessed of almost every enjoyment they originally had, just because their big-risky-step did not take them to the right direction. But I have not seen anyone losing everything because of not taking a risk. So in the end, I ordered my brain to compile these stats and present the results in ’human readable’ form for me. It obeyed. The results presented by it were as follows:

Master! (I still rule my heart and brain), you have seen four types of people, videlicet

  1. Who have not taken any risk and not lost anything (neither losers nor gainers),
  2. Who have taken risks and lost most of it (losers),
  3. Who have not taken risks and achieved things (gainers),
  4. Who have taken risks and achieved things (gainers).

So the calculations say if you want to be a gainer, you have two options: 1. Take risks or 2. Don’t take risks. And if you want to be a loser then you have only one option: 1. Take risks!

In other words, it can be explained as this: The fruits of good and bad are attached with each other in this world; your work is to separate the bad from the good and consume the good. If you choose to take the risk of not separating these two and consuming the whole fruit as it is, then in fact you are running away from your duty by choosing the easier path. Of course taking risk is the easier path, anyone can do it by putting in less thoughts. The mettle of your effort is proved in not being swayed by the tempting results and making a risk free, intelligent decision.
