New Puppy

Fill the missing hole in your heart.

I lost my mom two years ago to cancer and since then I have struggled with feeling anything anymore. My best friend has an English Bulldog and kept telling me that a dog would help me. I kept putting it off until my position was taken away at my last job. I was now freelancing from home, in my best apartment, with my roommate who is a lawyer and Winter was just starting. It was a recipe for disaster.

I looked on-line for hours researching puppies, different breeds, breeders, etc. I was scared to order a dog on-line and I wanted to make sure I did not get a puppy from a puppy mill. Finally after a year of searching I found a women in Maine who’s dog just had a litter. I emailed with her many times and knew this was meant to be. I drove to Maine two weeks ago and picked up my puppy!

The last two weeks he has given me a reason to get up everyday as well as learn things about myself. He is a lot of work to say the least, but worth it all. Tanner, my puppy, is my reason to get up every morning. He has filled the missing hole in my heart since my mother passed. I never believed it when people would say a puppy can change your life for better. If you are reading this and feeling alone, sad, bored, etc. I recommend getting a puppy!

Oh My Goodness! Adorable. Good name too, if I may say. I am glad to’ve learned you (can) have the guts to become and to be another’s mate and owner. You are a braver soul. I have long wondered whether I have the stuff that is required -whether it’s in my make up- and about a year ago, began desiring to have that opportunity. I am nonetheless inspired, and yet, intimidated and somewhat awed simultaneously, by what you’ve made – your reality. I hope you have fun while you do the hard work that comes with living with your “best friend” and that the enjoyment that is par for the course exceeds the highest, and exults the lower of your expectations, fosters memories you will cherish and makes you laugh with those you love near.

    Thanks.
