New Years Resolutions and Personal Goals: You Can Do It

Insight on the yearly tradition that is the New Year’s resolution.

Be prepared to wait and do not rush into anything. Give yourself time to succeed. Failure can be disheartening, but only if you let it get to you. Most of us are afraid of change, but things around us always change. It is a part of life that is constant. We have an option here. You can accept the fact that we are constantly in the process of change, or, we can take risks and have a hand in what kind of change we would like to be a part of. If you truly believe in something, a cause close to your heart, fight for it. Follow your dreams. We all have dreams. In order to reach your goals and dreams, we have got to take that chance and change some things in our lives. If at first you don’t succeed, try again. Don’t ever give up. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start over. Things are not going to fall on your lap. We have to work at it.  It is hard and demanding at times. Remember, anything is possible as long as you are committed. What would we be if we didn’t have dreams?

Great article Steve. Very inspiring, honest and to the point. I have found that the only thin that is constant is change and the quicker that we not only accept but embrace change, the sooner that we can weild it in our own favor. Change is opportunity if you’re willing to look at it from that perspective and the willingness to embrace it can be a key character attribute that differentiates us from others. Because so many resist change and are unwilling to “fail”, those of us that welcome change and the opportunity that it brings are poised to benefit. Personally, I see an occasion to adapt as a chance to grow in wisdom and experience.

So, here’s to you and those that read this article. The upcoming year can be whatever you want it to be if you’re willing to take it head on and look fowarward to the prospects that accompany it.

You have a good head on our shoulders Steve. I really like what you have to say, especially regarding change.
