New Year’s Resolutions and Their Completion
With the New Year quickly approaching many of us are deciding on ways to make our lives and the lives of those around us better. The key to making your New Year’s resolution work is setting achievable goals, so sorry to those of you aiming for world piece or immortality.
The first step to making your dreams a reality is to divide your goal into steps. Say you want to lose 50 pounds. Its better to plan what you’ll do everyday to accomplish this goal then to simply want it and become bogged down because you’re not succeeding. So even if there’s countless steps to your task write them down and look at them daily. This will help you to remember what you must do to get what you want. Simple right?
Well, kind of. There is a certain amount of perseverance that will be required of you. You see everything isn’t a physical battle. You may not notice it but even the simplest tasks require you to focus and continue no matter the odds set against you. For example, say you want to participate in a marathon. While training you sprain your ankle. You have two options you could fret over your bad luck and quit, or you could get an ankle brace so you can keep training despite the injury.
Now the most fun part of your task comes. Actually completing it and seeing what your willpower and determination have done for you. After completing a single task and learning what you are truly capable of you will be more confident. Which will effect not just the targeted area, but also your entire life and state of mind.
I hope the advice I have given you today will help you. I know it has helped many others that I know, myself included. So, if you see your friends having difficulty recommend they read what could be a life changing article.
