Peace
There’s just no reason not to have it.
Why do you like someone?
Why do you hate them?
Why do you admire them?
Why would you kill them?
There’s really no reason for any of this. Sure, it’s fine to have preferences. Maybe someone likes the same kind of music, dresses the same way, or is nice to you. But most people don’t stop to consider that maybe someone else who listens to different music, dresses a different way, and acts indifferent to you has the same amount of integrity and the same rights as you do.
There is something about living in America that causes us to judge other Americans. “She’s fat” or “he’s stupid” are easy to say, easier to think, but what does this accomplish? Spreading hate and ignorance isn’t the way to live. It’s hard to take your own advice sometimes, but imagine how you would feel if you could hear everything that people said about you. Maybe you would like to know what people are thinking about you, but could you take the negative with the positive?
All I’m saying is, the world would be a better place if people could just learn to get to know a person before judging them. Peace.
