Press Towards Your Goals
Never give up your hopes or dreams.
That is perhaps how you should look at it. Because we as humans know everyone loves a winner. Everyone wants to see someone who battles against adversity and become a champion. So maybe when the doubters mock us and our dreams, we know it isn’t really their voice mocking us…
But God is saying to you he wants to help. He wants to open you up and empower you with the ability and determination to go forth and reach your goals.
God’s blessing-and that is what he is doing when he allows us to dream and set goals-is powerful and it will show in you and everything around you will become affected. It will touch every area of your life and you will step back and not go quietly into the night. You are not a failure. Achieve that goal or not, the fact God gave you the strength and the ambition to climb that mountain is an achievement in itself. Many of us slip on those slopes. It is down to us and our faith in our dreams and desires, whether we continue to haul ourselves back up towards the summit.
So do not ever let anyone mock you for your dreams. I know of writers who suffer the mocking of people around them. But do not let their words discourage you. Turn a negative into a positive and never give up your dreams. Instill this along with faith in God into yourselves and your children and already inside your heart you have achieved to reach what it is you strive to reach.
So never give up. Never back down. Do not give up hope or faith you placed in yourself, no matter how far away that tiny light glows. Keep your spirit going and draw positive energy from God’s guidance and perhaps your own inner strengths. And when you feel like giving up, turn to God and ask for his strength.
Lord, I ask that you
give me the strength
to push through
to the breakthrough.
Victory seems so near, Lord,
So help me to live there,
standing victoriously on your word
and also in your name.
I pray that you
would break any hold
that the Devil has on me
today or tomorrow,
In Jesus name,
that I would reach the goal
you have said I can obtain.
For in the Lord I trust
he will lead me through this darkness
and deliver me to my mountain top
then turn and look down
and see the cowering mockers
slide away and disappear.
For you God will give me
the energy and desire
to pull myself back to the top
and live my dream
that you blessed me with
And show others they too
can be as I have
and walk through my darkest days
and smile that with your help
life is better for me now.
Amen.

Striving towards goals and keeping focused is something I taught my three children. A good moral standing in society is all I asked of them and tried to show them how to gain it. I encouraged them to ignore the doubters, and believe in themselves. They are adults now and have fantastic jobs and lives, the continue to focus on moving forward and achieving goals.
I do hope your lad plays for Spurs one day, DH is a supporter and a Smy (Jimmy), played for them in the ’30’s.

We should never let go of our dreams, and if we have no choice, we can always find new ones. There are so many interesting things to do in this world. We should never run out of new ideas.

“Without dreams, we are nothing.” I totally agree with you 100%. In life, we have to be passionate and have a purpose. Sometimes and it happens to all of us we can feel unfocused or motivated. When that happens, the best thing to do is go to a quiet place and meditate or reflect. Thanks for the prayer. For those who don’t believe in God, they don’t know what they are missing. Faith is a plus. We must trust God and ourselves most of all. A lot of people give up when it seems hard, but you must work hard and persevere if you do want to achieve all your goals. Good example that you are giving your 5 year old son. A great article and inspirational.
