Protect Yourself From Being Attacked

Most attackers are actually cowards and they want an easy victim who will not resist. But here are some experts’ strategies you can use in facing these unpleasant, life threatening, and terrible situations.

All these tactics can be applied depending on situations. Remember that your primary goal is to create circumstances that you would be freed from your attacker as quickly as possible without any harm or injury.

If you know the art of self-defense, you need to carefully assess the strength of the attacker before fighting back. The first area on your attacker’s body should be the groin. This part in a man’s body is super sensitive but he knows that you know that and some of them wear protective athletic cup on that particular part.

There are other areas in his body that would catch him by surprise, using your knuckles or fist, your shoes and feet, and whatever you have in your purse or hand.

  • A hard kick to the knee will surely knock a man down
  • Use the side of your ATM or credit card by sliding it to his face

  • Use the side of the sole of your shoe down the attacker’s shin. Apply pressure and it will work since there is no tissue between the bone and skin.
  • If you are wearing spike heels, stomp on his foot
  • Strike that part just below his Adam’s apple or even better if you could grab his Adam’s apple and squeeze it
  • In an upward portion towards his forehead, you can strike the bottom of a man’s nose by using an open palm. Using an open palm hurt the attacker more and you less than your fist which is easily breakable.
  • Grab any of his fingers and try to break it backward. You will surely temporarily disable him.
  • Never attempt to harm an attacker in their eyes. It won’t work unless by using a spray but never your bear hands.
  • You can also use the tip of an umbrella to hit an attacker or the umbrella itself
  • Use biting as a last resort. If he has is an HIV positive then you could be at risk later.
  • If he grabs you by the arm, your first instinct is to pull him away which is wrong. Quickly yank your arm or wrist through the space between the man’s thumb and pointer finger, the grip’s weakest part.
  • The attacker grabs your clothes. Jerk your body away from the side where he is gripping you.
  • He grabs you from behind with a hug. Force your arms straight up and drop toward the ground. That will surely break his grip.
