Rejection: The Pain

We all experience rejection in life, how we deal with it is very important. Appreciating the good things we have in life, can make rejection a little less painful. Look at rejections as a learning experience, can help heal the pain.

Look at rejection as a learning experience of life, and if you learn something from it, you are ahead of the game. An great example is something that happened to me recently, I went out to an “interview” for a new client, now I had not be out there seeking new clients, since my first business started. So now I am starting a new business, heading out to talk to a new client, and I feel things went well, and I wonder what went wrong, yes I started to think “what did I do wrong”.  I look back and say, it was not I.  I review my literature, how we communicated, and I say, ok next time I will be better prepared. I never blame myself. I am new to this, I have a lot to learn; and it takes time to answer questions smoothly, it takes time to become completely experienced. Every day is a new experience and every experience should be view a lesson learned.

Thank you so much for writing this article. I have experienced a tremendous amount of rejection over the past 8 years. This rejection has caused me to eat and eat. I am now over weight and depress. I will take your advice and seek counseling. Your words are much like a breathe of fresh air I needed to clear out my clouded view.
