Remember the Caterpillar

On potential.

You were in the cocaine before. You were on drugs. You were in the rehab before. You were in the bars and speak easies before. You were in the unemployment line before, the jail before, the hospital before. You were two hundred pounds over weight before. Yes, you were down before, disgraced before, a caterpillar before, God isolated you inside your own personal cocoon and revolutionized your life! You emerged a new man! You emerged, sister, as a new woman! You started to think high thoughts. You started to seek higher living, loving and learning.

You now are a butterfly. You have been transformed into a creature now that has every tool to fly! There are no more excuses. Even financially, when God elevates you to the status of butterfly you compile enough money to catch a plane every now and then. You don’t have to catch the dog – the Greyhound. Aside from that God equips you for success. You begin to read and learn and grow. Doors start to open that you never thought possible. You start to travel to places that you thought were beyond your ability to reach. Your attitude of life changes from thinking that few things are possible to “all things are possible to them that believe.”

Remember the caterpillar experience when you arrive. Remember that it was a process for you and that there are others who also need to safely reach their destiny as well. So when you reach your destination safely, do like the late great Harriet Tubman and go back every once in a while in search of others who also want to fly.
