Responsible Driving
How to drive responsibly and safely.
Driving is a big responsibility, and anyone who drives must take responsibility for there actions as a driver. The safest drivers are people who think that they are the best drivers on the road. A safe driver will also follow the speed limit. This is important because it keeps you safe and saves you money.
Driving over the speed limit is dangerous, costly, and against the law. It is dangerous because if you go over the speed limit you reduce the time you need to stop your vehicle. You also shorten the amount of time it takes to get to an object and your reaction time may not be quick enough. The speed limit is put in place to keep you safe.
Speeding can also be very costly. First of all, if you wreck your car will probably be in a worse condition than if you were going the speed limit. Because your vehicle was moving at a higher velocity it hits objects harder. This means many repairs or a new car. Fuel efficiency also decreases the faster you go, meaning you will need to buy more fuel. One final point is that speeding wears your tires down faster than if you were driving slower. After your treads wear down you will have to buy new tires.
The final reason why you should follow the speed limit is because it is a law. If you do not obey the law it may result in a fine or the loss of your license. Your driving record will also be marked for the rest of your life.
In conclusion, it is bad to speed because it puts you in dangerous situations, wastes your money, and is disobeying the law. Is it really worth all the risk, money, and hassle just to get to your destination a few minutes earlier? If you think it is you should not be driving on the streets.
