Self-Respect

Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them and they bless you, the giver.

*Self-respect is the noblest garment with which a man may clothe himself, the most elevating felling with which the mind can be inspired.

Self respect is the regarding you have for yourself. The way we feel about ourselves influences everything-our performance at work, relationships and other achievements. To be a champion in life it is important to maintain your self-respect.

When you feel that you are talented, do a good job in what you do, are well –liked, and have things going well for you, you have high self –respect. You like yourself. This is judgment you make about yourself, respect. You like yourself. This is a judgment you make about yourself, just as you would make one about another person.

As it feels good when others like you, it also feels good when you like you self. Of course, this should not be overdone, such that you think of yourself only and are not considerate of others and their feelings. But it is being proud of what you do being pleased with your achievements.

Kindness is beautiful

*What does it take to be kind?

As much as is it takes to smile.

* What do you get in return?

 At the very least-a smile, a word of appreciation; at the most is a lifetime of favors.

Gestures of kindness spared love and joy. A little sympathy, a show of affection, friendliness, love –all these do not cost anything. It makes life beautiful.

  • Mother Teresa was a compassionate lady who showered love and care to the old, sick, homeless, poor and needy all her life. She was called the “Saint of the Gutters’’.
  • Florence nightingale, a kind-hearted lady was sensitive to the sufferings of the wounded British soldiers. This “Lady with the lamp’’ was the founder of the nursing profession.
  • We revere them and they remain in our hearts as the most beautiful people.

*kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly end lees ~ Mother Teresa.
