Sifting Through the Crap
Changing perspective’s of everyday life drudgery.
Perspectives can be changed of course. Sometimes out of decision, sometimes out of necessity. But however used or changed, it seems that perspective could be the most powerful tool in our mind’s arsenal. To find a better plane of existence we might have to change our dealing with less than desirable situations in life. Things don’t always stay the same and never should because we always have the option for improvement. Whatever the thing that makes our lives feel constipated, our perspective can be used to improve the condition. Hate the job you’re at? If quiting isn’t an option, find one thing about it that is enjoyable or at least tolerable and focus on it. That is hard to do, speaking from experience, I hate my job and writing is a way to clear my mind of it. To get lost in the process, I just started this writing thing and realized how much I enjoy it. Now, until I can leave my present work place, I have changed my perspective of it from being a prison I report to every morning at 8 am into a tool to come up with writing ideas. I keep a little pocket size notebook with me at all times to jot down notes or ideas for things to write about. I now see something that I considered crappy as an opportunity to get something out of it, for a better purpose. A purpose to improve my plane of everyday existence. The power of perspective, the power to sift through the crap and find the beauty.
