Some of the Things That Animals Can Teach Humans

Man has always benefited by adopting some of the interesting aspects of nature which are doubtlessly aimed for the betterment of his life.

Animals, a feature of wild nature, can teach us, humans, some good and practical things.  This is one of the main reasons why a great number of scientists have dedicated themselves to observing animals, in any type of situation.

Firstly, animals can teach us how to live in peace and harmony.  For example, in a timber wolf pack, each wolf knows its place.  The chief male in the well organised group shows his importance by carrying his tail higher than the others do.  A pack goes hunting together and they share the prey among themselves.  When wolf cubs – about three weeks old – first come out of the den, the whole pack helps to care for and play with them.  Wolves hardly quarrel among themselves.  If animals even can live in unity, then why can’t we, civilised people do so instead of waging wars?

Another very important thing that a certain type of animals can teach humans is the concept of faithfulness which nowadays has become, for many people, a joke of life.  The grey wolf, for instance, usually stays together with his mate for life.  Here, there is no betrayal, no injustice.  Such a striking example of faith including love and respect is really a great lesson to be learnt by some of us, humans may it be merely animals who are our teachers.

In the medical field as well, animals have a lot to offer humans.  Some of these wild creatures, such as the chimpanzee, know the natural cure of most wounds and exactly how to treat them.  Thorough observation, scientists have discovered many natural herbs which have a distinct positive effect humans.  These are manufactured to give creams, lotions… which are widely distributed around the world.

Finally, animals have led humans to a series of inventions.  Among the latter, the aeroplane is the most well-known one.  Birds have highly contributed in this air-borne transport.  The flying motions of the birds – take-off, gliding, landing – have given shape to the aircraft; its outstretched wings among others.  Indeed, animals can teach humans quite a number of things.
