Some Practical Ways to Attract Help From Others
In the world that we live in we need to help to get where we are going. The world has become very competitive and sometimes your qualifications alone are not enough.
You may need someone to speak a good word for you or even to make others know of your existence. This in particular is very relevant in the hard economics time that we live in with fewer jobs to go by. There are certain things that can help you be a head of others depending on how well you play your cards.
Here are some things to do that could help:
1) Learn to think smart and play dumb- People like to help and support those who seem innocent and vulnerable
2) It is important to convince others that you are worthy of their help and that you will make great use of your breaks. Focus therefore on creating the next opportunity instead of perfection. Perfection will come later.
3) Believe with all your heart that people are going to give you what you want. Remember that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). If you believe that it will happen people will give it to you because they will see how much you want it.
4) Forget about grudges, they are not worth it. You waste your time trying to strike back when you could use that time to make something else happen for you.
5) Do favors without making people feel as if they owe you anything. In other words, consciously become more appealing without making people think you are a soft touch or an idiot. Learn to be a problem solver and do it creatively.
6) Never shy from asking help from the most powerful people you know when you are trying to improve your chances of success.
7) Attract golden opportunities and turn them into positive career moves by thinking ahead.
Coming out ahead when you have no control of everything happening around you depends on how well you take advantage of opportunities that come your way.
9) Negativity and bragging (pride) leads to failure. Bragging leads to overstating your true abilities. With time you starts believing your own lies and take risks you should never have taken.
10) Once you are considered someone who attracts good things, the more good things will find their way to you. Just look at how successful people seem to attract more while those who do not have continue to be ignored.
11) When you make life easy for others you become like a “guardian angel” whom people can trust for great work with little hassle.
12) Accepting responsibility for things that were under your control is always viewed as noble behavior. You are viewed as a person of character and worthy of help. People will admire your strength and courage. Accepting blame also tell others that you are honest, which makes them want to offer you opportunities.
Please remember that the most effective way to manage the flow of opportunities is to know what you want and then identify those people who can help you get it. Indeed, “Opportunity doesn’t knock, you knock and opportunity answers”.
