Success with Time Management 1: Psychology of Good Time Management 1

Methods for creating the right mindset, beliefs, and subconscious behaviors that will help you get started.

Desire

To become excellent at time management you must have the desire to do what it takes to be excellent at managing your time. The incentives range from having more time, more control over your time, feeling less stress and an overall gain in self esteem and you feeling of accomplishment. When you commit to becoming excellent at time management you will have a couple of extra hours every day to do more work, spend time with family and friends or to the things that you want to do. You will be more in control of your time and be able to accomplish much more. As a result of having more control and being more productive you will make more money and feel better about yourself as a result. Very successful people value their time and to truly be successful you must value your time enough to be able to manage your time well.

First thing you must do is to make a decision to become an expert at time management. This is about managing you life. Time is one of the scarcest resources we have for accomplishing what we want to do in life. If you’re determined to make your time a valuable commodity, then you will ultimately value yourself more in the process. Below are some techniques I have found valuable for developing the proper mindset, motivation, and subconscious behaviors and habits. These are also tools that can be used for changing other areas of you life as well.

Techniques for Developing the Subconscious Mind

Affirmations are positive statements to yourself that you say in your mind or out load with emotion. You must say it in a believable manner in a spirit of faith and acceptance. Affirmations are more effective when you use strong emotions in agreement with the statement to make it sound believable. An example statement you may repeat to yourself might be, “I am excellent a using my time well,” or, “I am very effective at planning my day.” These statements repeated daily will be like commands to you subconscious mind to change your words actions and behaviors to match these statements.

Now that you know about affirmations, I suggest paying attention to what you normally say to yourself. You may find that you have some negative self-beliefs and images of who you are. These may stem from influential people having said that about you while you were growing up and you accepted them as truths about yourself. Let me tell you this, time management is a skill not a genetic trait. If you were offered a million dollars to be extremely good at managing your time you would do it. So ultimately it come down to choice and desire.
