Summer Poolside Safety

Children under the age of five are most likely to drown in pool accidents.

As the tempature rises so do pool drownings. Watch your children. Just turning your head for an instant can mean all the difference in an unfortunate accident. Always have a portable phone at pool-side in case of emergencies. Make younger children wear floaties when you are not physically in the water with them. Know CPR. Get your children into swimming lessons at the earliest age possible. Have alarms on outside doors so children cannot go out without your knowing. And remember that nieghborhood kids will climb fences and go through unlocked gates so always keep them locked when you’re not in the pool area. Pools are fun but also dangerous so enjoy and have a safe summer.
