Talking to Yourself is Good, It Doesn’t Mean You’re Going Mad!
It is an often joked about topic as talking to yourself is often seen that you are going mad. However, scientists have found that it may be good for you.
For years the first sign of madness is said to have been talking to yourself. But scientists have recently found that it may actually be a good thing.
Have you ever been walking around the supermarket muttering to yourself about which groceries you need to get? Or, encouraging yourself that everything will be alright and you have nothing to fear? Nearly everyone would have at some point in their lives talked to themselves, so what are we, all mad?
Scientists have found that by using our inner voices it can help us to improve our self control and reduce impulsive behaviour. Also by talking to ourselves it can also help dieters stick to their diets, help end arguments and help us make our minds up when deciding upon something.

In my opinion i think that by talking to ourselves, it is like verbally communicating with our brains and helping us in daily decisions. What’s wrong with that? Of course there are people that are suffering with mental health problems which mean some may talk to themselves as a result of their illness, but maybe even that is the brain trying to communicate formally with us.
I know that i am forever talking to myself about things that i must do for the day and things i must not forget, and sometimes i thought i was losing my marbles, but this news is something that i had always thought- talking to yourself does not mean you are mad!

This was a very interesting article. It is good to know that it does not make you crazy to talk to yourself because I find myself doing that all of the time.

It is true.Sometimes, when I am in a supermarket, I used to speak on the things yet to be purchased. In a way it helps to refresh your memory and recall certain things. But, if any one is speaking too much and rather irrelevant and almost mono acting,we should be beware of that person.Nice article and thought-provoking too. Thanks for sharing.

Great article. It made me very happy as it addressed the matter I have been thinking of for a long time. I talk to myself and I do that a lot. Though, with me, it is usually a dialogue between me and me with different way of thinking

I always told my son that talking to myself was only natural as I needed to talk it over with a grown-up
