Test The Waters Before You Jump in
Being careful in life and not jumping in with both feet and not testing the water first.
Many times an opportunity may come and it sounds too good to be true and in most cases it is not that good. I have been on that just jumped into something that seemed to be great and found myself in deep trouble or holding the bag of promises. You need to try the waters in things you want to do and not jump so fast. When you are young you think that the older person knows nothing of what you are talking about. This is a wrong statement. There is much experience behind the older person. They probably have been there and done that many times over.
Make sure you investigate the situation from one end to the other and if you can’t do that then you need not to jump at all. You can get stung bad. I have had great opportunity come my way. They can seem to look good on the surface and find yourself with a bag of goods that are not so good. There is a lot of smooth talking people out there that are ready to catch you fast into their trap. Call the persons references and check it out thoroughly. Call the Better Business Bureau and have them tell you weather a deal is good or not. They can tell you if a business is legitimate or not. If they give you the line that this won’t last then don’t do it. They usually are looking for a sucker.
Talk to people who have had experience in the field before you leap into something you don’t understand. Have you ever heard the words “trust me, I won’t guide you wrong”? Don’t take anyone at their word. Check it out. Always test the water before you jump in. Know the person you are dealing with. It is your money you are spending and they want a piece of it. Don’t be so free to give it out. If you have to make a deal under pressure then don’t do it because something is wrong. Trust your insists. There is many crooks out there and you don’t want to be taken. There is many people who talk double talk and say one thing but there is a totally another meaning behind it. Read the paperwork inside and out. Tell them you want your lawyer to check it out. If it is on the level they won’t mind doing that. Ask questions about it all. If you have any doubts about anything then it is for a reason.
