You just clogged your toilet, what should you do?
We all know that the most common way to unclog a toilet is to use a plunger. Well, I have discovered recently and by accident that an even easier and cleaner way is to use bleach. First, make sure that there is no toy stuck in your toilet; because if that is the case, you would need an auger or a professional to get it out. Second, make sure that your toilet is not overflowing. If your toilet is overflowing, this may be yucky but scoop some of the water out into a bucket and toss it outside. Finally, if your toilet is clogged with water at a level where any added liquid won’t send it overflowing, go ahead and administer a good splash of bleach. Chances are that if your bleach is open, it will dribble bleach into the toilet and that is just enough bleach to do the trick. Now, let the bleach sit there for at least 15minutes and come back to it. In the meantime, you can do your laundry, pick up your kids from school, whatever you need to do. Come back to the toilet that is clogged and try flushing again. The bleach should have eaten away at what was clogging it, and it should flush smoothly now. Since clogged toilets happen to everyone, this will be a great way for you to avoid the plunger and yucky mess. Remember to keep your bleach high up and locked up away from your children’s reach.
