An article looking at how we survive. How we can be the fittest to survive the best. Is it all worth it?

The Fittest, The Surviving

We all, every single day – sometimes many in every one day – have our challenges to overcome. Challenges that require us to raise up to and not be shadowed or overpowered by, challenges that can, potentially, have the complications of a lifelong riddle of answers or the simplicity of knowing exactly what it is you need to do to overcome whatever it may be in order for us to do that inevitable ‘living’ but the main and actual ‘challenge’ is – actually – overcoming it.
Life’s challenges, whatever their difficulty or danger to us, need to be challenged themselves by the survivor. These life challenges decide ‘The Survival of the Fittest’, though sounding lethal, there can be possibilities to come back fitting, although some fights mean the be all and end all – life or death – and thus fit or unfit to survive, to live.

They shape us, shape and reveal the people we are, whether we’re fighters or flyers, predators or prey, successes or failures, in love or out of it, winners or losers. Basically – if you’re living or dying.
Things aren’t always so dramatic, think of it this way the bigger the challenge – if you’re able to overcome it – the bigger the releasing outcome. Isn’t that what the challenges are all about…..Being able to say you’re the person you are who you want to be, you’re in the place you want to be in, you’re doing what you’ve always wanted to do. It’s your life and you’re living it.

Why can’t we just say we’ll just exist? Why can’t we live the lives we want to live, more than just to breathe, eat and mate without these challenges?
- The very world we make these lives on has its own growth and evolution towards its own survival. The movements it has dictates the movements of every living thing it supports. They all had to evolve to survive ice ages, devastation and wars – whatever the kind of evolution it may have been.
Saying this, does that mean we’re, our fitness is measured in many different ways? Different depending on what we’re here for? What we want to do.

Every living thing – we are all beneath the same blue sky with the sweltering sun and shining stars – animals and plants go through extremes to give them a chance to breed. So this is it…. every fitness measures, tested and challenged and if came through strong, winning and alive we (living things) earn the chance to breed, to pass those everlasting genes on for the next generation have to develop and fight with for the same goal – develop to evolve.
Everywhere you look (including within yourself) they’re extraordinary examples of the lengths plants and animals go to, to stay alive.
Maybe that behaviour and attitude (of it being all or nothing) determines you from the rest, gives you that strength and endurance to become your fittest and survive.
Developing certain miraculous behaviours that gives us that edge. The spectacular strategies and inventions used to hunt and to gather. The challenges more than one plant or animal are involved in have different outcomes for one another – for some a successful is just one meal, for others it means life or death. Determination, skill, tactics and all of those with teamwork go in favour of either hunter or prey.
It has always been said (used and reused) that there is safety in numbers, that safety to attack or that safety to defend. Whether we’re attacking or defending ourselves for our own challenges – who would be the best teammate? Is that part of our fitness measurement – if we chose our best suited partner in life?

Those challenges can test our survival fitness in so many defining moments throughout our growing lives;
For students to be able to survive through their studies in the aim of a degree to a career, enduring those long hours of complexly dizzying lectures in cold lecture theatres or overcoming the many and suddenly irresistible distractions when trying to make a deadline. That degree being a key to career – some challenges provide keys to open doors to a bigger more meaningful challenge. Is that another way which we could be ‘measured’ overcoming all challenges to take on that almighty life affirming one?
Writers spending hours putting an article they’ve spent days getting ‘sparked’ with ideas for with the simple but pleasing satisfaction of a hurting hand.
Males in general but closer to heart our Men competing in some manner with other Men (only traditionally) as well as the other boundaries and limitations there is to the world of mating we call romance to win the hearts of The Women – the women of his desires, dreams that has some mysterious power over the beat of his melting heart – more challenges in one for the poor guy – only to go on to more challenges of life with her but there’s a teammate to make it through with.
That couple going further in life to see their babies make their own fight in their own lives

It’s a dying game, we all get there eventually, but it’s what we do until we get there that will say and show we have been the fittest we can and survived.
Maybe it’s being able to say (when you’re at ‘the end’) that you’ve lived your life, your heart if full of love, you have one hell of story to leave behind, you have no more questions that need answering that says you can’t get any fitter?

We’re all fighting to survive in our own way to see if we’re ‘fit’ enough to overcome our own challenges all for the one hope that we get where we want to be wherever in our hearts and minds that ‘place’ may be.
