The Leader of Tomorrow

The success and progress of our nation depends on the qualities of its leaders and followers. A leader is a very important figure in a nation, community or organization. We all have various talents, ideas and resources seeking to be channeled into something concrete and constructive. Good leaders are able to visualize how these talents, ideas, and resources can be used to benefit the society.

A leader requires a lot of hard work and dedication. It means you put yourself in the service of others. Therefore, a good leader must have the ability to lead people to undertake activities for the benefit of all through initiative and being responsible. A good leader is also a good follower. He must be broad-minded, open to suggestions and criticisms, and committed to the tasks at hand. He is not easily discouraged by difficult tasks but is challenged to make every plan work. He must be industrious, dynamic, honest, dedicated and willing to take risks. He must live by good example because everyone is looking up to him. People trust him, so he must do his very best to accomplish things. He should not give up when problem occurs but find the best solution to solve it. It is also important for the leader to be strong so he is always ready to face every struggle that comes on his way.

Other traits of a good leader includes.

1. Nationalistic means deep love of his/her country. Devotion to the interest or culture of one’s country. The belief that the nation will benefit from acting independently. Aspirations for national independence in a country under foreign domination.
2. Being patriotic means the feeling, expressing, or inspired by love for ones country. Simply patronizing his/her owns country’s product rather than other.
3. Being to act effectively or imaginatively, especially in difficult situations. This means that a leader is being resourceful.
4. Being modest means having or showing a moderate estimation of one’s own talents, abilities and value. And is free from showiness or ostentation.
5. Being respectful by showing or marked by proper respect towards self and to others.
6. And lastly, a God-fearing person who always ask the guidance of God in every endeavor he make.

Try your best to acquire the good qualities befitting a good leader. Appreciate and honor the work of our famous leaders. Everyone can become a good future leader if we will just work hard for it. Always remember that to be a good leader is to be of service to mankind with commitment, compassion, fidelity, and love. If you think you possess these qualities, then you have what it takes to be a good leader.
