No matter how gray it may be outside you will feel like the sun is shining in your home with could be happier ideas.

One way is to make it festive with cups of cozy candles. Add a joyful glow with a simple duo of candles made special like the color yellow and putting little flowers around the base of the candle and use a pretty cup as it holder. Salvage half burned tapers which have a more casual feel than full height candles by placing each in a deep dish candle holder and surrounding it with blooms or fill a three inch to four inch bowl with pre-soaked floral foam and insert the candle in the center and encircled with flowers. Bright colors like yellow, green, blue will add to lightness in the room.

You may want to turn their heads with sparkling details by a gorgeous view by floating just a few blossoms in a bowl is a quick and easy budget friendly way to create a centerpiece with real impact. Just fill a glass bowl or clear baking dish with water then set adrift a couple of blooms cut to roughly one inch. Here is a secret if your flowers look a bit tipsy or like they will flip over float a leaf or two under the edge of the petals to keep them upright.

Nothing like bring on the smiles with lemon and lace during a season filled with so many reasons to celebrate by turning to this sunny get-together. Start with a tablecloth in yellow a color that radiates cheer. Then enlist doilies as place mats and vase wraps. Just secure around tumblers with tape. Doilies have the look of Victorian antique lace. In Europe they are often used to wrap small gift boxes. To finish the look cinch napkins with celebratory bows and layer ribbon streamers across the table.
