The Power of Perception

by Eddie Starr in Advice, June 7, 2008

Change perception and open the door to new results.

It is not complex when we change change in the world, we just have to start with ourselves.

Everyone, including you and I, has the ability to create whatever they want in life. It is far less complex than it would even seem. Even though it may seem like that isn’t the case, I assure you it is and you can easily learn how.

The way you perceive life increases the chances of getting what you want, and has a dramatic impact on your ability to manifest it. This is because a person will always and only act consistent with his or her view of the world.

If you perceive that what you want is within your reach, many opportunities to get it present themselves.
Where you run into difficulty is when you want to manifest something and your perception is that a successful outcome is either not likely or just plain impossible.

The dictionary says that to “manifest” is “to provide evidence for, to stand as proof of, show by one’s behavior, attitude, or external attributes.”

To provide evidence for what?

That something exists in reality – at least the conceptual reality of your mind.

For instance, you probably have no difficulty believing that you will eat a meal today. You can easily plan on it and have no qualms about saying so to anyone who needs to know. You believe it is a certainty — and so it is. You can unequivocally manifest a meal.

But you may be less sure about other things – like whether you’ll start a successful business, triple the one you already have, meet your “soul mate” or buy your dream house.

How you perceive your ability or chances of manifesting the things you desire controls whether you are able to create the reality of those things in your mind.

And to manifest anything in reality, you must first manifest it in your mind.

The good news is that you’re not stuck with your perceptions. You can intentionally create the perspective that allows you to manifest what you want.
