The Real Success

People have different perceptions of success. Everyone wants to achieve it in life, but our excuses usually prevent us from attaining it. Its real essence and measure is defined in the succeeding article.

We may say that life is not really fair. Some may succeed and some may fail. If that’s how we think, then we’re merely giving ourselves to chances. We’re not holding ourselves responsible to our every situation.

There are not much innocent persons on earth than those in the prison cells. Ask one of the convicts and he’ll either tell you that he was not guilty or he was just coerced by someone to do such thing, but he’ll insist that it was not entirely his fault.

Reasons…reasons…reasons… they seem to be valid and unquestionable. Yet, the fact is, they are nothing more than EXCUSES. You convince others to believe so as to relieve yourself of your guilt. However, you merely deceive yourself. The same circumstance may happen and if you still dealt with it as before, then, you accomplish nothing. You achieve nothing.

The real measure of success is not how far you have beaten someone in a game. It is not how many times you have outwitted your opponent. Even a great amount of wealth you may have now is not an indication of your prosperity.

True and genuine victory is about competing with yourself. It is simply characterized by breakthroughs upon breakthroughs. If you have surpassed your past achievements with your recent one, or overcome a seemingly insurmountable problem, or when you were able to rise above your set limitations and release your potentials, then you truly have experienced success.

If life, however, is a myriad of problems, then, you ought to experience a series of success. You may experience success now, but don’t stop at that. Do not glory in your past. Your past achievement may be a stumbling block for your future ones if you held on too much on your past laurels. Savor it for a moment and aim for more challenges.

Once you make it a habit to always do things better than yesterday, then, NOTHING can ever stop you anymore.
