The Smile Charity

Some days can simply be the worst. Mental, physical, and emotional tolls can bear down hard on an individual; it is for this reason you should become an active member in the smile charity.

Unfortunately, to my knowledge this exact charity doesn’t actually exist, and if it does it doesn’t have this specific function. Despite this apparent draw-back, the charity I am about to describe already has a broad membership with active members partaking in charity activities everyday. You might already be a member of this charity (see the suspense mount?). Though I am far from the creator of this charity I am a (self-proclaimed) activist who hopes to spread the message about this important group.

The Smile Charity is quite literally an assemblage of people who hope to pass on good feelings to any and every person they meet. As members of this charity, we try (whenever opportunity presents itself) to brighten the day of someone else which in return brightens our own day. This sort of altruistic feedback is what drives our members everyday, the feeling that because of you someone’s day is just a little bit better is truly an inspiring feeling. The Smile Charity works off the principal that goodness is infections, that is to say, Good inspires more Good. We hope that, by helping someone else they, in turn, will do something nice for another person who in turn will do something else nice for someone else etc.

The basic premise of this “Charity” is clear and is entirely up to you whether or not to follow. I wrote this article because of a predominant new mentality of only helping yourselves. It is a deadly cancer that is silently zapping the goodwill of men and woman everywhere. How difficult is it to spare change to someone less fortunate than yourself, or to give up a bus seat to a pregnant or handicapped individual? Selfishness exists in all of us, it is our job to curve the desire to service ourselves and instead to empathise and assist others. I am not writing this to appear morally superior (I am far from that), I am writing this as a reminder to those who read it that small actions can garner big outcomes; what might be meaningless and easy for you might mean the world to someone else.

There is no registration fees or application papers you simply know if you are a member or not. So perhaps you will join? We are appreciative of every member we can get!

Sincerely,

GreenSunshine
