I'm living it. Been living it my whole life, and I don't intend to quit.

Forgiveness is indeed difficult in a society where revenge and hatred are so widespread and focused upon. What people need to do is look past that and look inside theirselves, asking, "is this really what I believe? Or am I simply agreeing to all this for fear of being ostracized or insulted?"
Forgiveness and righteousness are beautiful virtues, but they're not easy to live with nowadays. They were never easy to live with. It takes a heck of a lot of courage to stand up for such things in a truly threatening situation, no matter who you are. Just open up a history book and flip through the pages-- thousands of years ago the struggle for peace, truth, and justice was going on... and not a single true victory was ever won without it's share of blood, sweat, and tears.
Honestly, we may never truly win that struggle. The world isn't perfect, and perfection is an unattainable ideal here in our reality.
But that doesn't mean we can't try to get as close to it as we can!
If we all tried just a little harder to forgive-- if we all tried just a little harder to stand up for the sake of true righteousness-- if we all truly loved our fellow man in spite of his flaws -- I do believe we could make this world a better place.

And remember: every little bit helps, no matter what.
You never know how many lives you will inspire... even with just a single act of love.
