Three Good Tricks to Improve Memory

Always forgetting something? Look no further.

It is normal to forget something. We are all human and imperfect. But is it ok to always forget something, especially something we do all the time? As people age they start to forget more and more things. That is due to neuron loss and glitches, but these three tricks will boost your memory in no time!

Be Aware!

Look at your surroundings. Don’t always walk with your head down or be completely immersed in your own little world. Actually look at something else and let your mind wonder. Try asking yourself, what am I looking for? Be conscious of what you are doing. When you are doing something, try to get your mind to realize and remember what you are doing. That includes stuff like putting down keys and remotes.

Be Organized

I’m not saying be a neat freak. Although that would help. Try to have a special place to put everything. Be organized. Don’t just go somewhere and drop everything down and when you can’t find anything you start blaming on others. A list is also helpful in keeping track of what you did and need to do. Nobody can remember everything.

See the World

This is sort of like number one but not quite. Some people remember things better if they actually saw the object, task or location. For example, you know you have to write a document so you write yourself a sticky note to remember yourself. You put it on top of your desk in clear view so when you come back later you can easily see it and get to work. Put things in clear, plain view and you won’t forget it!

Lastly, tea helps calm the mind and lets you be at peace but it can also aid in memory. Teas like green tea and gingko are excellent for just that. Results may vary between people. So don’t bet your money on it. Don’t always depend on other things, just focus on yourself mainly.

I heard that chewing gum can improve your memory too ( http://www.memory-improvement-tips.com/quick-memory-tips.html ). Supposedly the chewing action improves blood flow to your brain, which helps with concentration.
