Tidbits of Wit and Wisdom Two
More thoughts to share with those who venture here.
We cannot ignore the flip side of Life, the dark side. These thoughts are not to bring you down. On the contrary, they are meant to help visualize how Life can be, it’s good side and it’s dark side. There are redeeming qualities that make Life worth living as we travel through time and space with hope and by the grace of our loving God.
Part 2 – From the Dark Side of Life
1. We live and love and die.
We hope just one remembers
the love we gave was from the heart,
and in that thought find warmth
for cold Decembers.
We ask and give and take.
And in the asking want for nothing more
than peace for aging hearts.
In giving we found temporary satisfaction.
In taking we found justification.
We lived and loved,
and then -
We died.

4. The city is big, but it’s just suburban enough to seem human.
5. How close to Death can we get without becoming its victim?
6. Death ends a life, but it cannot end a relationship because memories keep love alive.

there is no changing that.
16. The city that never sleeps is kept awake by the cries of men desperately seeking a way out.
17. Memories can be cunning. They can be sly. Are they real or are they the fantasies of a wishful thinker, hopeful possibilities of a helpless romantic?

19. The edge of tomorrow — the twilight hour that comes with the setting of the Sun just before the day is done.
20. Gossamer skyways – invisible to the naked eye until touched by the Sun, one-by-one. Then we can see how God has made it possible for spiders to fly, swift and silent, soaring high, moving gracefully across the sky down gossamer skyways.
Tips:
Do not despair for Life does not remain in the dark side. However, it is good to look at it from all angles to understand nothing in Life is constant except Change. Remember how wonderfully we are made and find solace in the thought that we are all miracles in progress.
