Time

A look at time and its affect on people.

Time can be a confusing concept if you over think it. Time does, in theory, exist. But the way we measure and perceive it is a matter of perspective that changes with age. When you’re ten, a year can seem like a lifetime, probably because it signifies one tenth of your life at that point. This is obviously why the years seem to go by faster and faster as you get older and your personality changes, which is inevitable and brings me to the point of this blog: people change.

They’ll change from things they experience, but most of all, they’ll change as time goes by. You could meet who you think is the most wonderful, perfect boy or girl when he or she is fifteen, sixteen, or whatever age. But because that person perceives time at such a slow rate and you perceive it at a faster one, that person will seem to change very quickly. This is one of the reasons that teenage relationships usually don’t last a long time. Another one would be how fickle teenagers are. Everyone will change with time, the underlying factor that brings us together and tears us apart. I would imagine that on some rare occasions people can change together and stay compatible that way.

So take my advice and don’t fret when you lose someone close to you. That probably means that they weren’t who you thought they were or time and development has torn you apart and you’re just not compatible anymore. What doesn’t kill you will, in most cases, make you stronger. You just have to put the emotions aside and look at the bigger picture. Too often are people oblivious to the reality of things. That’s one of the many downsides of emotions. So please, for the good of mankind, try to see the world realistically. It’s not the happy fairytale that society has led you to believe it is, but it isn’t the terrible nightmare that so many people see it as either. The world is completely neutral. You’re in control of everything that happens to you. You rule your own world.
