Timing: A Powerful Thing
Timing can be a powerful thing, if one realizes it or not.
Timing is an amazing thing. It can leave you waiting, or can take you by surprise. It can make you wonder at its expanse, and can cause you to ponder its reality. Chances come and go on the hands of time, ever going forward, never stopping.
Indeed, there are time when one wishes time in the universe would stand still so an instant can be savored. To be in the moment, to feel a certain way, to be safe in a place which makes you happy. To stay in touch with the feelings you wish not to fade, and ever be embraced by a moment so strong, so dear. Longing to never be void of that fleeting moment. How would it feel to be ever happy living in such a beautiful time forever? What would be your moment in all of time?
Sometimes timing is everything. It can mean scoring a touchdown, catching the football at just the right time. Winning a 5K race, pushing through the banner just seconds before an opponent, or swerving to avoid a car cash. A baby grows in an womb for nine months, this time God has given to form an infant in its entirety. Sure, a baby can be born a month or two early and survive, prematurely, and they are in time’s hands. But, if too early, they aren’t developed and can’t live outside the womb. Timing can be a powerful thing, if one realizes it or not.
There comes a time in everyone’s life when the well-known phrase “turn back the hands of time” become personally real. We all have wished for the gift to “turn back the hands of time”. Maybe you have wished to revisit your childhood when life was simple, or go back to a time when a loved one were still with you. Perhaps you have said something in haste which you instantly regretted and would give anything to have the last five seconds back.
Have you made a decision because you thought it was for the best but then realize it’s the worst mistake you ever made? Surely you would wonder what your life would be like if only you had made a different choice. Surely you would wish you could go back and choose what you had wanted in the first place instead of what you thought to be the “noble” thing to do.
As the saying goes, “Time waits for no one” in that it is fleeting. You probably remember something which happened years ago as if only yesterday and you find it hard to believe so much time has passed. Whether it’s a wonderful memory such as the birth of your child, or a sad memory of losing someone you love, its touch is still felt. Then there are memories which are equally great and sad, such as good memories of times past which cause you sadness knowing that time is over. However, times pasts can make you smile as you recall certain instances.
Whatever the case may be, timing has its purpose. Though we may not understand, everything happens for a reason and everything has its own timing. Ecclesiastes 3:4 says there is a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. If perhaps, you are awaiting a time to come, know that there is a season for every activity under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

A very uplifting piece. Going back in time is not something I would like to do. I am at a much happier time in my life. nice work.
