Tips to Break Bad Habits
If you are like majority of the people, it is very obvious that you find it difficult to break the bad habits. But you can do it with the help of few tips.

Here is your 10 tips list of giving up some of your most ugly habits.
- Attack Just One: You need to write down all the habits that you know and think bad; also write down the reasons for why you find those ugly. Then identify the one that you want to give up most and start with it. That’s because habits are stubborn and take a lot of willpower to change. Working on many habits will dilute your attention, which can hamper the chances of your success. It is always advisable to start with a habit that’s easier to break. It will give you the confidence to tackle the tougher ones.
- Identify The Triggers: Identify the cause for that you do something that you should not be doing. Sometimes we become slave of bad addiction. Identify what leads you to fall into the mindless pattern and try to keep away from it and all the people, situations that trigger the trigger.
- Resist Your Urge: When you consciously try to give up certain behaviour, you are more aware of the urges. They will be there, but they won’t last long. Just hold out, let it pass just that time- get yourself busy till the urge passes. Do the same, when the next urge comes, and continue with this.
- Be Cheerful: When you become successful to resist that urge, congratulate yourself. Be your own friend, have a conversation with yourself. To make yourself more happy share your resolve with your friends and relatives, tell them the good news if every victory over your urge. A few encouraging words will help you continue your struggle.
- Do Not Repeat, Not Even Once: After starting to get far away from a habit, revisiting it even once means you are coming back to where you had started. Then again you may nit have the willpower to do the journey all over again. So keep focus and continue walking away to break the connection with the habit.
- Be Friendly With Your Body: A tired body results a weak mind, which then easily gets tempted to fall back on old ways. Take enough rest to stay strong. Hydrate your body as much as you can as water keeps you active and refreshed.
- Feel The Vacuum With Something Good: It is sometimes easier to exchange one habit for another but ensure that the new one is a better than the older one. It should be one that serves you. This will keep your busy on doing something good.
- Go Slow With The New: Take baby steps when you are starting on the new habit. For instance if you want to start walking, start with 10 minutes first and gradually increase the time. This will make it easier on you.
- Picture Yourself: Use the power of visualization. Imagine yourself killing down the bad habit, fighting the urge an eventually giving up the habit. This feeling will give you a sense of satisfaction. You will be out of your old ways in no time.
- Forgive Yourself For A Relapse: It is possible that even after fighting so hard you may end up repeating the bad habit. If so don’t beat yourself up; forgive yourself. Try and realize what made you fall. Start the journey again but this time keep a plan ready to avoid that trap.
Breaking a bad habit needs patience, courage, commitment and clarity of focus. Developing a good habit may not pay you immediately but it will lead you to a healthy and fulfilling life in the long run
