What Cause Stress?

Continuous working for long hours, thinking about an issue beyond logical reasoning causes stress. Now days, everybody is competing for either achieving targets or a higher position. It’s a rat race with the better ones achieving more and more. With no time left for you, no physical exercise, there will be a time when people can work only till the age of forty. The immense pressure at work, along with the growing demands of children with higher cost of living, more traffic on the road, the stress to survive in a metropolitan has in itself become a challenge. It is now become as the survival of the fittest. There is nothing as the quality of life. Every body is running after success or after growth in there own spheres, with a huge loss of health, mental health being, and a high levels of stress.

Having said all this, I would like to mention that there are degrees of stress levels, as well as kinds of stresses. The degree of stress would determine the need of medical or family support. If one is highly depressed, one does need medical attention and complete family support to get out of the vicious circle.

There is definitely the positive and negative stress. The positive stress enforces and encourages you to work harder, achieve more and therefore succeed. Whereas negative stress leads to destruction of the person. His mind, body, soul are not balanced and stable which can lead to numerous health problems. Not just for the person but even for the family it can be a difficult time. It is very important at this time, for complete family encouragement and need to empathize. On the other hand not much talked about is the positive stress which can be very useful for your improvisation. Under this kind of stress the person sets his or her own targets and goals and works towards them and therefore is self motivated. But it is very important to differentiate the extent of stress and the kind of stress and work accordingly on it.

Now talking about the solution to all this, the first way is to change your attitude. And the first way to start doing this is to remain contended with what you have and achieved. Do not compare other person’s growth with yours. Maintain your own growth chart, what you were with what you have become. Just be satisfied and be happy with what you have got. Take at least one hour a day for yourself. Indulge in exercise, join a sport, join gym, and do walk whatever you may like. Switch off your mobiles and just spare that time for your own self. In nutshell these are few pointers to distress;

  • Party with the boys.
  • Follow a sport.
  • Do physical exercise.
  • Take a break and a go for a holiday.
  • Be contended and happy.
  • Give your pet a hug.
