What is Guidance and How Do I Get It?
Are you troubled and alone and have no-one to talk to? This may be just for you.

“Guidance –
This article is on leadership. Do you feel lost and lonely? Are you searching for answers on something that’s buggin’ you? Are you deeply depressed? Then guidance is for you!
What is Guidance?
As said the on-line dictionary, guidance is simply someone who lends an ear and helps guide you through life. Comments on Triond are one type. Another type of guidance comes from your wife or your husband, a friend, a lover or someone close to you. Lifeline, the social telephone line for the desperate, is a prime example of it.
Do I Need It?
Yes, if you are lost, have no solutions to your problems and feel that no-one is listening to you. If you genuinely feel lost, perhaps with a problem that seems like a giant mountain of unresolved blackness then:
- Ring, “Lifeline,” phone counseling line available across most of the English-speaking world. “Lifeline,” is free, anonymous and ready to hear your woes
- Talk to someone whom you trust. Your husband or wife, a close friend or a priest in the Church if you feel that you have no-one close to unburden yourself
- Talk to yourself. You may or may not have a personal God or you may just simply believe in your own judgment. That’s fine. Turning to the part of you that is like your true, inner voice is another way to find leadership with problems that seem insurmountable.
I’m Lonely, I Don’t Have Anyone To Talk To – Please Help!
Even though art or music is supposed to curry a large group of friends, at times anyone can feel alone, no matter how popular you are perceived to be by your peers. If you feel that you have no-one to talk to about your problems far from a phone or free councilor then get on-line. Prayer lines and on-line friends have often been of great help to the isolated.
You Are Not Alone
If you feel troubled you may be amazed to find others in the same boat as you. Search for a like-minded situation. Your problem may not be a single case. Others will often experience similar situations to yours. Look for an interest group to share your problems.
Our Furry Friends
Another way to overcome turmoil lifting problems from your bosom is to chat with a pet. Pets are grrreat for,
- Secretly telling secrets to without judgement
- They love to listen
- They give you love when you are lonely
So, buy a little pet and see your life turn around for the best. Plants are also known to be great companions.

I always use my animals for comfort when I am sad or tired. They make good pillows.

Good article that was very well written. Sound advice for those who suffer with these symtoms. Talking to yourself is alright as long as you don’t start answering yourself. Well done.
