Whether to Worry

About sweating the small stuff…

Image via Wikipedia

Colossians 3:17

” And whatever you do, whether  word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord.”

” Sometimes the smaal stuff is as big as the rest.”

“Dont sweat the small stuff.” That seems to be a popular saying, but how true is it?

With so much going on in our world if we dont worry about the small stuff and only concentrate on the bigger things in life, the small stuff will add up and eventually be one of those big things we need to concentrate on.

“For it is all the small things in life that make up the big.”

Look at writers, they have to focus on all of the small details to build up to the big, exciting parts in their story. What would the story be like without all of the small details? It would be pretty boring, wouldn’t it? Do you see where I’m going with this?

Everyone wants to rush through life never stopping to concentrate on the smaller things in life, like taking a day to rest, or stopping to smell the roses.

We all need “time outs” where we can allow ourselves to be a “kid” for the day or we are going to get ” burnt out” and sick.

So please do me a favor. The next time you want to forget about all of the smaller things in life, dont. It may just be your inner child telling you it wants a day off to play.

Great writing. You are correct about the role of the little thingsin life, they help us get to the big ones; just as the pennies help to make up the dollar.

i love this. Its so true. Thats why im goofy alot of the time.i dont have many happy memories but that is the thing…i can create my own. i love to make people laugh becauase for a minute they forget about their worries. i never really fit in with my family. every time i would try to make themn laugh they would look at me weird. but im a kid at heart–i dont really care that they think im weird im not going to change. But YES i do know when to be SERIOUS.
I can be very serious when i need to be, like when im trying to prove a point. Im VERY good at proving a point. (just like in essays)
I have a STRONG voice. But i rarely voice it. im one of those people that dont really speak unless spoken too. But i do open up when im comfortable.

The child in us does need to play like a child now and then to energize our soul. Love it!
