Why is It So Hard to Communicate? Share

(Side note…all of my blogs are unedited and unchecked for grammar. I do this to allow myself to write what I am feeling and thinking in its purest form)

You know I remember my father telling me something as a child that I did not fully understand until I became a man…he said “if you want to lose all of you friends tell the truth all the time”…how strange is that?

Again it did not make sense until I graduated with my psychology degree and started better understanding the human soul…see so many of us only want to hear the good things and or what we want to hear, and if it does not agree with what we believe it creates tension…why is that?

You have so many people especially men that struggle with communicating…I am sure that you heard that that is the number two reason why couples don’t make it…of course finances being number one…but that is a whole nother story…all relationships have to have good lines of communication, because if not things don’t end up coinciding…ok…that makes sense, well if we all know this why is it so damn hard to get on the same page? Great question…well the answer is just as simple as the issue itself…oh…you are waiting on the answer, well it is because we are two different people with two completely different viewpoints…duh…lol

Well with that being understood how do you get on the same page…It takes a lot of patience and understanding…well unfortunately they don’t sell patience at wal-mart or target, which is somewhat hard to believe cause they sale everything else…lol In order to get through the misunderstandings and the confrontation is to talk and I mean talk until you figure it out…for most guys that is hard to do, cause we by nature don’t like drama, and over the course of time conversation somehow got put into that category…which is sad within itself…sometimes to argue (most peoples definition of conversations) is to care, and that is the a good thing…but ok I got off the road a little bit, for most guys they could use a class or two to learn to express their feelings, now you also have those guys that do a great job of expressing what they are feeling, but sometimes that can create just as much of a problem if you are not used to it…nothing in life is going to be easy and without struggle. Communication is the key to making it to your destination…and if that was not true then GPS units would not be one of the number top selling items for Christmas this year…lol and until we are able to read minds I guess we will have to use this thing called words…ok y’all know I am a bit of a smart ass…lmao

No one really has the right answer on how to make communicating easy, trust me I bought the “easy button” from Staples a long time ago, and it didn’t work…so my advice to you is that if it is worth it keep trying to communicate…pray for God to speak through you that you are able to be understood and for you to have understanding…and over the course of time it will get easier…
