Why Long-term Thinking is Essential to Your Success

Sometimes it is good to make quick decisions. Trust your gut, your intuition and make a quick choice in the moment, but be careful. Sometimes when you do this about something you don’t know very much about questions will suddenly begin to surface afterwards.  Avoid this by asking all the important questions in the beginning.  Map out your dream life.  The only way you can arrive at the location of your dreams, is by having clear directions, plans and goals.

If there is something that seems like a good thing, take some time to figure it out. Make a list of questions. Ask those that you know who have more experience in the particular field or realm that you may be entering into. There are many things you might not have even thought about.

For example, purchasing a used vehicle might seem a good idea at the time, you are saving a huge amount of money and you want it right that minute. However, when you get it home, you might find that within the first month you have to replace the engine and some of the other parts. Then it begins to break down on you every other week. You end up spending more money on the repairs than you did for the asking price. This metaphor can be applied to everything in life from relationships to jobs decisions to financial purchases.

So, take the time to think of the long-term consequences regarding any situation. Doing so will help make your life more prosperous and joyful.
