Words are Powerful

People let their thoughts and words control their lives.

I’ve decided to write on how I believe the mind works. I think some people in life don’t realize how powerful our thoughts really are. I go about my day and I observe people from time to time. How many out there actually look happy to you? Not to many, at least not where I live. Everyone looks like they hate so much about their life, and they’re so down on them selves, that not many can actually look you straight in the face. They just tend to look down at the floor, or give you such a snappy remark and go forward with their day. It is really sad to see that. I know though everything starts with the mind. People don’t think the brain is a powerful tool, well I beg to differ.

Ever say things to your self like “I’m so sick and tired,” or “I’m ugly or fat,” or “I can’t do this or that,” or “I’m ashamed my life turned out this way,” or “I’m broke” “I’m not a lucky person” “so much bad things always happen to me” and so forth and so forth? Well folks ever heard the expression negative brings negative? I completely agree with it.

One point in my life I actually said so many negative things to myself, that I didn’t even realize what I was feeding my mind. How many negative things do you say about yourself in one day or think it? I promise you I’m sure you can think of one. See the way I see it as, the more negative you say about yourself the more of it you start to believe and become such a moody or depressed person. Almost like you are brainwashing yourself. I know I allowed myself to get like that. So I came to the point and asked myself where does the problem start and why am I so miserable? The first answer I came up with is… Oh my lord it actually starts with me. I need to change my thoughts and my attitude. Then I started to watch how others say horrible things about themselves and then get into such a huge whole, where everything that was coming out of their mouth was all negative and become so depressed. Start believing you are worth so much in this life. My brother always use to say he was going to get sick in his 30’s, now he is. Watch your words. Some say they will die young, ever notice the ones that say that, actually do?

If you are having issues with anything in your life, first thing in the morning start your day by looking at your reflection in the mirror and say aloud something great about yourself. Then say 10 more. Change your self-esteem, and take control of yourself. Remember mind over matter, in sticky situations. It’s one thing when someone says something negative to you, but those negative things that come out of another ones mouth is only because they are negative about themselves and try to bring others down. Just don’t allow yourself to believe those people. I know all of us have some imperfections, but I guarantee you, you are perfect in some one else’s eyes.
