Words Hurt

Be careful what you say, you may just hurt someone more than you planned.

Have you ever stopped to listen, I mean really listen to what people say around you? Notice that when someone says hello! How are you? They are not really looking for a response, they really don’t care, what your feeling, thinking or saying. Sometimes you may hear, same thing, just a different day.

Listen to mom and dads speaking to their tiny ones, insulting them, calling them awful names.  Comparing, one sibling to the other, these situations can have a long-term affect on the little folks. The affect of this type of behavior is starting to surface as we see more and more adults, not only insulting their children, but each other. Today’s bosses have no respect for their employees, and the employees don’t have respect for their boss, but they have fear, fear of loosing their job.

How about when a couple have argument whether they are married, friends, partners, or neighbors, and they throw words out, without thinking about the long term affects. It is like throwing knives at that person the only difference is, you will know the results of your actions. Children who hear their parents speak harsh words think it is ok to do the same, to each other, and soon to you, their parent.

Think before you speak, since words once said can never be retrieved. If you love someone watch the words you use, and how you use them.

Be very careful if you enjoy an occasional cocktail or two, it may lead to lose lips.
