You Too Can Soar Like an Eagle

How to use life’s adversities to your advantage and have success.

Someone once said, “Life is tough and then you die!” But that is not the world-view of the successful. The greatest difference between the successful and the mediocre is this, Their Thought-life”. Even Jesus said, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. You will never rise higher in life than your thoughts and imagination. You can be a mediocre person, who sits around mourning your past, (someone betrayed you, someone got the promotion you worked longer and harder for than anybody, someone passed along to you the obesity gene, etc.) Or you can Choose to think differently and transform your life beginning right now. Yes, it’s that easy. Your new life, the one you’ve always wished for, is lying dormant within you right now waiting to be released. You are more like Dorothy, in the wizard of Oz than you think, you have always had the power to be who you wanted to be and do what you wanted to do, but just like the good witch, Wanda, told Dorothy, “The reason I didn’t tell you in the beginning is because you wouldn’t have believed me then”.

Face it! The winds of life aren’t always going to be blowing at your back; life brings storms to all of us. The bible says, “It rains on the just and the unjust alike” Storms bring most birds down, but the eagle is able to fly higher during a storm than any other time, that’s because the eagle learns to position himself so that the same wind, which is grounding other birds actually lifts him to new heights.

It’s not what happens to you that will determine where you end up in life, it’s how you respond to what happens to you that determines your success or failure. It sounds easy to say, “Turn your lemons into lemonaid” but that is exactly what successful people have learned to do with their lives.

Look at Paula Dean. She was agoaphobic for many years (she could not leave her home without having a panic attack). She spent her time in her home cooking, look at Paula Dean now! She is a multi-millionaire because of her cooking success. Paula turned her lemons into lemonaid.

You can take the hand you’ve been dealt and either fold up the cards and walk away or search and research till you find the silver lining in the cloud that has been raining on your parade.

yep, we can`t fly high if we`re carrying a heavy burden.. the burden should be used as a springboard and not taken during flight
