Your Heart, Your Widest Ocean
How to conquer life through our hearts.
Everything we experience; happiness, sadness, anger, peaceful feeling, … all things have been passed through our heart. Our hearts have desire. If we focus to the things that attract our heart, we will do, think, make effort, endeavor direct to something we desire.
Our hearts have great ability. Every heart has ability to forgive. This is one of greatest ability. If we want to forgive we will feel peace with ourselves. The peaceful heart helps us to see the potential and the richness within us. That’s way there is a verse in the Proverb that strongly suggest us to guard our hearts with all vigilance, for from heart it flows the spring of my life.

Actually this heart only can receive. This heart receives everything: suggestion, motivation, encouragement, knowledge, understanding, praising, mockery, harassment, bad statement … everything. Don’t let our heart hurt (that’s why I decide this thing facing my annoying friend in my previous writing). If you feel hurt, for example if somebody called you as a bad guy, it means that you receive his/her statement that you are a bad guy. So once again, don’t let your heart irritated whenever other says bad thing about you.
Everyone has memory and understanding. Memory is influenced by past things and these past things are in charge. We should let go our past, good and bad things and direct our minds toward our goals. We may hold our memory if it help us to reach our goals. Understanding is more powerful than memory. It controls every moments of our life. If we have good understanding in our hearts, it will help us to have a strong and happy life.
Our hearts, which are widest than ocean, could be limited by our thoughts. So we may use these two things to wider our hearts:
- Be thankful for everything that happen to our life.
- Be thankful for every kindness we receive.
- In other word, if we have a thankful heart, it will help us to face everything in our life.
Further, you may do these two things to reach your goals:
- Be faithful to your principles
- Be flexible in applying your methods.
We may fail or make mistakes in our journey of life. Mistake is okay as long as you don’t repeat the same mistake in the future and learn something from that. There are so many things we may learn from this life. We need it to get wisdom within us.
Lastly, there is one word that may make our hearts sick that is “impossible“. To avoid this impossible thing, we had better know God’s will. Often someone pray and after several times past he/she says that God doesn’t answer his/her prayer. Perhaps the answer is NO, and people don’t realize it. God always has three answers for our prayers: Yes, No and Not Yet. Before we pray we had better ask if it is God’s will. To know God’s will you may read the holy book (the Bible) to guide our lives.

Yes. Our heart should be as deep as an ocean; as large as a plain land, as pure as the God’s heart, as sincere as a noble person, and finally as wide as a paradise’s gate.

Well said. It’s like that old Irish prayer–ability to change the things I can, strength to endure the things I can’t and the wisdom to know the difference mixed up with the modern viewpoint that the only person we can really change is ourselves.

Beautifully put, I do believe that the more positive we are, then we attract that back into our life.

I like the approach of being thankful for everything that happens … we learn and grow from everything, both the good and the bad. Nicely expressed!

Eunice,
This message about the heart is clearly written from your heart. I love this powerful message that the heart is the widest ocean, which receives and give. Very inspiring.

Sometimes people say bad things about us not really because we are really bad, they use saying as a tool to belittle us. We have to be very careful.
