A man who promised change, someone who gave us hope, someone who has turned our country into a complete mess!

Ugh! Where to start! Obama has got to be the worst thing that has ever happened to our country. Besides completely screwing up our own country, he’s ruining other countries opinions of us. Whether itbe this stupid health care bill or his “photo-op” at the open caskets, Obama has left our country a mess and the people praying for 2012.

Image via Wikipedia

It makes me mad to just think about all the things he’s done wrong and it hasn’t even been a full year since he’s been in office. Where to start? Well this healthcare bill that he’s trying to pass. Rrrr! What is going on here?! Not only will it increase our taxes, but it will also put an added pressure on small businesses. Obama says that it will increase competition, and it will allow more people to get affordable healthcare. Wrong! It’ll only ruin what little competition we have and it doesn’t extend healthcare to as many people as he says.

Image via Wikipedia

Now what about the Fort Hood massacre? Nidal Hasan killed innocent people and Obama isn’t going to press for a full investigation. What is with that? Muslim or not, Hasan murdered many people and should be punished and tried as a result.

On a couple occasions, Obama has been in instances where he has had a chance to shine as president, and instead he fails. At the Veterans Day ceremonies, when everyone around him was saluting the flag or had their hand over there heart, Obama is standing there looking like an idiot with his hands clasped at his side. Last week when they had the open caskets of the solders, Obama, when he thought his microphone was off, was reported in telling his security to make sure the media was there because it would make a good photo-op. What kind of president is that?

Obama: Savior or Menace? I think we all know the answer to this question.

Critique of The Government.

Winter is fast approaching. In most of the country that means colder temperatures that require us to turn on the heat. You know that the government and the International community want to initiate a Carbon tax with the Cap and Trade Bill. The International Community wants to have the United States sign a Climate Change Treaty. Oh not every country will sign it–just the ones with money. Then the United States should not ever sign a Climate Change Treaty that will tax us on energy use. What a Crock! The International Community want governing authority and the right to tax Americans? Al Gore wants to get rich by taxing people who can’t afford to be taxed.

The Health Care Reform Bill that is supposed to give people free health care is really a tax bill in disguise. The House of Representatives crammed this bill down our throat. I pray that the Senate kills it, but fear that it won’t. If the Bill has public health care for all then why is there a tax penalty for those who don’t get health insurance? Do you think for a minute that our government is benevolent? That is no longer true. I don’t know what else to write. This is an awful time for America thanks to Obama and all of the Politicians in Washington. Sarah Palin has her new book out Going Rogue” maybe we all ought to go rouge with her.

Why so serous?

The Sarah Palin’s book Hype My thoughts!

OK so this woman had some ghost writer write her story!

Big Deal to infinity!!!!!

What is so interesting about this woman’s putting her foot in her mouth every time she opens it?

Dose that make her even remotely worthy of the presidency in 2012

Is her life that important or real to warrant the attention she is getting by the paid media?

Or these utter brain washed simpletons who want her to be the Presidential Nominee for the republican parties’ next election!

I was shocked to say the least when I woke up to see a three block long line of people waiting to shell over their hard earned bucks to read her life from book going rouge!

I have to ask people in all seriousness why? If not for John McCain this women would have never been heard of let alone even remotely been interesting enough to pay much attention to!

Have some American people lost all sense god gave them to even bother with this strait out whacked women who has a complex as to accusing every one as being against her!

This writer is confused!

I have to say lady for every one supposedly against you!

You are getting more coverage than the Macy’s thanks giving parade!

You have been on the cover of a lot of magazines.

So much that the ink has not had time to dry before the next photo of you has been pushed in our faces!

Just recently News Week!

Let’s talk about that one for just a second Sarah said that cover was sexist!

Wait am I missing something?

Did she not pose for that photo?

Wow”

We have a lot of people lining up for a real winner here folks!

Have many of Americans lives become so sad and mundane that they are willing in this economy to shell out twenty four dollars or more to another want to be rich palliation.

Instead of putting food on the table or paying a badly needed over due bill

Come on have they not stolen enough of our money and minds already?

I say wake up and stop the hype.

This women’s life in these books is about as truthful as an elephant suddenly deciding to iron out the wrinkles!

Sarah Palin is not what a person would call smart women!

When it comes to knowing truth and how the American government even works!

She spouts off on things that she thinks are important.

However in doing so she has no substance or intelligence be hind her road runner ramblings!

She sounds like a ditsy miss America queen pageant runner up saying if I get the crown I will promote world piece with my Alaskan charm of a wink and a prayer to the all mighty!

The news tries to say people dislike her because she prays and is pritty!

That’s what I like about her!

What I hate is the fact she is down right uneducated when it comes to stringing to sentences together and making sense.

Sure she can read a speech that some one else wrote or have a ghost writer tell her life story.

However given time a ghost writer could do the same for a trained parrot who could read a speech the same way!

It dose not mean they understand a bit as to what it means or how to solve any real issues.

Have we not had enough of I think I could be president people who neither know the constitution nor understand the office they are trying to obtain!

Even though Sarah may think a wink or Alaska back woods you bet you may see her through!

Women this is the real world where real things take place if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen!

Why so many Americans are so willing to ride this wave of Loony cartoon American style antics?

Week after week watching her crocodile tears as to not being able to handle true public opinion!

We dealt with this kind of political hack for eight long years and look were it got us!

Its time to send this lady who could not even handle being a governor packing back to Wassail Alaska and keep her books of fiction untruths on the shelves in the section marked ambition for power the idiots guide!

Next to the book the Emperor has no cloths.

Edward Kennedy's career was nearly ended when a tragic accident left a woman named Mary Jo Kopechne dead. However, with the help of some brilliant writers, Kennedy was able to create a persuasive essay that literally saved his political career.

In the summer of 1969 in Chappaquiddick, Edward Kennedy was involved in a scandal which nearly jeopardized his career. Mr. Kennedy was holding a cook out to thank the staff who had worked for his departed brother Senator Robert Kennedy. That night Edward Kennedy was driving alongside with Miss Mary Jo Kopechne, one of Robert Kennedy’s most devoted workers. The car suddenly tipped over Dike Bridge and plunged into a river. After this tragic event, Mr. Edward Kennedy failed to notify the police until nine hours after the incident occurred which was too late and Miss Mary Jo was found dead. On the brink of loosing his seat in the Senate, he assembled some of the finest persuasive writers. Edward Kennedy saved his political career with a brilliant speech with effective usage of logical proof, emotional proof, and hostile audience techniques.

The use of logical proof helps to answer questions. Mr. Kennedy begins by using facts that verify to be true. This includes the gathering in which Edward thanks the staff who work for his brother, the location at which they are at, and the passengers whom he has in the car. At one point some speculates that he was driving under the influence but, is proven wrong when according to his television statement he was, “Not driving under the influence of liquor’” (Times 12). There are even suspicions on a secret relationship, but once again he denies the accusation saying, “There is no truth, no truth whatever, to the widely circulated suspicions of immoral conduct that have been leveled at my behavior and hers regarding that evening” (Times 12). Some of Mr. Kennedy’s statements are to compare due to some previous events which occur. Next, a doctor reviews Kennedy’s condition and says that he had “suffered a cerebral concussion as well as shock” (Kennedy 318). This statement is extremely effective because doctors are known to give reliable information; therefore it helps Kennedy’s case in which it proves that he may not have been able to make the phone call earlier.

The use of emotional proof alters the audience’s mix feelings to sympathy. Mr. Kennedy attempts to rescue Miss Mary Jo multiple times. Using the audience’s sense of pity, he wants them to understand that he did not want her to die and is even willing to risk his life to save hers. Next, Mr. Kennedy loves Mary Jo very much because she stays in close connection with the Kennedy family even after the passing of Edward’s brother Senator Robert Kennedy. Then, he refers to one of the top selling books his brother J.F.K writes name Profiles in Courage in which he quotes, “The stories of the past courage cannot supply courage itself. For this, each man must look into his own soul” (Kennedy 321). This shows that although he did many good and incredible deeds in the past, what he did that summer night is wrong and unforgivable. By putting emotions into an essay, it brings out human characteristics which everyone can relate, thus making it more effective which is exactly what Mr. Kennedy did.

The writers know full well to take advantage of the hostile audience technique to provide a more intimate connection to the viewers. By denying the persuasive purpose, it changes any previous assumptions the audiences may has on the speaker. Mr. Kennedy says, “The question in my mind of whether my standing among the people of my state has been so impaired that I should resign my seat in the United States Senate” (Kennedy 320). Edward Kennedy fully understands that the purpose of the speech is to save his political career but, by denying the persuasive purpose it shows the audience that he is not greedy for power, morally sorry for his actions, and makes the audience curious.

Edward Kennedy connects with the audience at a personal level to finally persuade the audience. Mr. Kennedy states, “It has been seven years since my first election to the Senate. You and I share many memories-some of them have been glorious, some has been very sad. The opportunity to work with you and serve Massachusetts has made my life worth living” (Kennedy 320). The speech more effective by using words such a “you and I” and “you” because it refers to every one in the audience. By creating a common bond, it turns hostility to friendliness. If the audience is unwilling to listen to the speaker, even if he has the best reasons and supports them, his speech will prove futile on persuasion. Therefore, making the personal relationship knocks down any barriers between the audiences and shows that he is not superior over them.

With his brilliantly constructed speech, Edward Kennedy saved his political career. His brilliant speech persuaded anger to sympathy using techniques such as logical proof, emotional proof, and hostile audience techniques. Mr. Kennedy was not afraid to tell what had occurred. To persuade the audience he needed to convince to them that he is honest. He showed how he tried helplessly to rescue her and never give up hope. He expressed his sorrows what the unfortunate event that happened. Finally, using the hostile audience technique, he redirected the anger to calmness and received countless supports from everyone. This brilliant speech touched the hearts of everyone who listened and most importantly, saved his career.

Jay’s Treaty and Washington’s handling of the Whiskey Rebellion sparked controversial debates throughout the country because it involved Democratic and Republican opinions.

The Democratic and Republican society had many different views on how to run the government and politics. As a result, there have been many heated debates over what each group feels to be the right way to handle a task. Jay’s Treaty and Washington’s method of handling the Whiskey rebellion allowed Democratic and Republican views to be heard from various states. This showed that talks about the government were no longer only in the Congress. There were others who were not even involved in Congress who joined parties in which they were recognized because of their views. This occurred because each group felt a sense of pride in goals and wanted to lend their voices on certain topics which would ultimately bring more support to their side. It would also help recruit others who also had the same way of thinking. These events normally occurred because of what the other side has done. For example, Republicans felt that the way Washington imposed too much force when they stopped the Whiskey Rebellion. This issue in “politics flared up with renew heat.” Meetings were held in cities for those who supported Washington’s act and those who did not.

Although the Constitution was created to have a Democratic government, it had numerous non-democratic features that did not give total power to the people in forming a government for the people.

James Madison was a democratic philosopher who contributed many ideas in the draft of the constitution. He believed strongly that the people had the rights to govern themselves, yet had mixed feelings toward a pure democratic government. He had concluded that throughout history, pure democracy has failed miserably and left the government with a tyrant. This was a large concern because a tyrant would destroy everything that they have worked for and would devastate the country. He did not trust the nature of people and as a result, the Constitution was drafted in a way to protect the interest of the people, but would limit their ability to control every aspects of the government.

The political system created was not very democratic in a sense. People are not the source of laws and powers. For example, they cannot pass or repeal laws. For example, although the people had the power to elect their own representative, Madison had wanted the elected representatives to use their own judgments rather than what the people wanted. This shows that although the people elect the representatives, they may not always do what the people want. This is clearly undemocratic because the voice of the government is not based on the people. In addition the government is not truly democratic because people cannot have total control over the government officials except Election Day.

James Madison was a mastermind in creating a democratic government, but could not trust the people in running a proper government. Therefore, he developed ways to make the people feel as if they are under a Democracy when their powers are severely limited.

2.Declaration of policies

3.Making of public opinion

4.To form and run the government

They also have many challenges that they face everywhere , four of them are listed below:

1.Lack of internal democracy

2.Dynastic succession

3.Money and muscle power

4.Lack of meaningful choice

Thus there are steps that have been taken to strengthen the working of political parties, some of them are:

1.Anti-Defection law

2.Affidavit

3.Steps taken by the election commision

4.Proper revision of voter’s lists

Finally , the need to have political parties is vast, some of them are:

1.Formation of policies

2.Uncertain government

3.Representative democracy

4.To gather public opinion

Thank you . As this is my first post , i would like to hear comments/suggestions please!

It is our right.... isn't it?

First off, an apology to the Republicans who have no doubt clicked on this article salivating at another chance to anonymously bash President Obama. Pull the stick out of you butt, because that’s not why we’re here. We’re here to talk about why it’s your right to do so.

The most frustrating aspect of America during the George W. administration was the Patriotism sticker. After 9-11, and the ensuing Patriot act, the sticker came off of our bumpers and went directly over our mouth. No longer was it acceptable to voice discontent with the President or the government, lest you be plastered with the scarlet letter of being unpatriotic.

Never mind the fact that the man running the show in the White House was a blithering idiot, a liar, and a far right wing super conservative who felt it was his moral duty to impose his beliefs on us… we were supposed grin and bear it in the name of the good old red, white, and blue. Remember the anti Bush protesters being ‘relocated’ from parade routs as a security risk? You elephants all thought that was a grand idea at the time.

But now the shoe is on the other foot. And sadly, this administration has taken it one step further. We’re still not supposed to criticize the big guy, but now there are two stickers! Now you get layered with unpatriotic and Racist!

Once upon a time, this was a nation predicated on the dying precept of freedom of speech. Have we given up on it now? There’s an old saying in the military: “I think you’re full of sh*t, but I will fight to the death for your right to be so.” So how about this… let’s tell the sticker makers to kiss our red, white, and blue backsides. Raise our voices. Because otherwise, there will come a day when we have none to raise.

Image via Wikipedia

Sarah Palin, have got to deal with Levi, as long as there’s a child involved between her daugther and the man she seems to be on a critical comment about. Most of the blame lies with her daugther playing house and getting caught by the cat chasing the mouse.

It’s very obvious she didn’t know her daugther was mixing in the game of pleasure like many parent don’t or living in denial about it. Or just don’t want to face it that she didn’t know everything about her child life.

We who watch the election knew the young man didn’t feel comfortable in a suit, as he sat next to her daugther. As we knew, if she became vice president, they wasn’t going to get marry. Most realized it was just a political stunt for the family value crew.

And now Mr. Johnston, is free to give his opinion of the family, as he saw it or see it. Sure we might see his side, as a problem,, as she see him, as being a problem. But to play tat for tat about matters really will turn against her because she has more to lose in the matter of constantly being in the press.

POEM.

The romanticized Russian Communist State

Soon found after its launch to its disastrous fate

Wolves and Dragons abounded to keep their usual date

At every crack and seam

Through which sunlight might beam

A political gain or authoritative aim

While other boastful systems in other lands

Flexed to extend limbs, an open hand

By saying to every man

Surrender to government your cash cows

And the right that it brings

To manage your own best interest by the usual civil means

In return we offer community, to let government intervene

With a safety-net program and compassion

With which men should be seen

But now, through taxes, having wrestled entirely away

Each man’s cash cow; ownership forgotten by them day by day

The conservative change of government became subtle in its sway

And announced a government safety-net not necessary as a means

To aid those disenfranchised by a lack of jobs, hope,

Or the homelessness that it brings

As if it were still a world, every man left an island to himself

When plainly it is not

Community controls each estate

Every parcel, every lot, peeps in every pot

Thus owing a liberal chance to survive

To every man, should they arrive

Without a cash cow or job at homelessness door

(But a fact now sought to be denied)

Image via Wikipedia

For the conservative corporate intent has contrived

Though we pay taxes for the people’s problems at hand

They may be incorrectly prioritized then stolen away by a different plan

Regardless of the co-dependency or danger it places on a displaced man

While on the backstreets, year after year, the people languish and some die

Without cash cows, homes, or jobs

Under the sun and moon’s watchful eye
