Recent analysis reveals that ladies who have sex hormone estrogen to levels high enough to possess a prettier face.

These findings build evolutionary is smart. Men are a lot of interested in ladies who are infertile. This was stated by a team of researchers from the University of St Andrews within the Journal of the Royal Society.

It is said, the degree of estrogen throughout puberty will have an effect on the looks, particularly through the expansion of bone and skin texture.

But the mask build-up will make ladies less enticing truly become a lot of enticing.

A team of psychologists at the Laboratory during this perception has been photographing the face of a girl aged regarding fifty nine between eighteen and twenty five years recent and content-analyzed their sex hormone levels.

Then they asked thirty volunteers consisting of fifteen men and fifteen ladies to rate every face in step with this lady. each male and feminine volunteers rated the faces of ladies with high levels of hormones that are even a lot of physically enticing.

Faces tend to possess classic options like larger eyes and lips and nose and chin smaller.

However, when the ladies within the images were carrying frame, look found no relationship between attractiveness and estrogen.

The researchers believe that the build-up make the show changes. Head of the study, Miriam Law Smith, said: “Women are effectively advertising the final fertility with their faces.”

“Make-up will modification the planning, and clearly it helps those that are less enticing a lot of.”

For example, eye build-up will be used to enlarge the eyes and therefore the foundation will make skin look brighter.

“Our findings might make a case for why men universally appear to like female women’s faces. In evolutionary terms, it is smart for men to favor female fertile ladies – hence their baby can grow,”

Dr Tony very little, a teacher at the college of Biological Sciences at the University of Liverpool, said: “It’s a awfully fascinating study.”

“The findings build sense. Estrogen is clearly related to fertility. edges to selecting specific varieties of ladies.”

“The findings concerning the make-up is additionally fascinating. Implication that ladies are using a deceptive strategy. they will fool the male visual system with make-up.”

He said his studies with co-worker Craig Roberts showed feminine attractiveness conjointly fluctuated throughout the menstrual cycle, peaking on the times when the girl is fertile.

A usual day with unusual thoughts.

Life after death and dreams are mysteries which remain unsolved from ages. Scholars, spiritual activists give various definitions to this particular phase. Some of them even challenge the world about their own prophecies which seems to be ridiculous. I am no Sherlock or any other detective who wants to disclose this particular mystery which is taken care by the omnipotent who is taking care of each and every living and non living being in this entire universe. A simple realisation is just being penned down by a 23 year old lad.
On a usual weekday after returning from office I took off my shirt and just lay down on the bed. My day was hectic and I was stressed out. Within a couple of minutes I was engrossed in thoughts of some random objects. I was travelling time and could see myself amidst a vast ocean far beyond human imagination. People usually say that one does not remember dreams but I consider it untrue. I remember them if they are weird. Human mind is very strange; it is the source of all imagination which in turn governs the world. Deep inside the mind lie the secret and the answers of all your questions.
I was able to see the whole world but from a different perspective. It appeared to be so numb, so silent. There was not even a single person in my line of sight which made me a bit nervous. Surfing the waves I found a small island which I thought was inhabited by none. The day was about to end and the red sky never looked so very beautiful. The sun was about to set and the waves roared for its glory. As the darkness was about to dominate, the moon shone making the ambiance nostalgic. The beach was covered by glowing blue planktons and it made the entire place look heavenly. I did not believe my eyes and kept on thanking God for letting me see this beautiful creation of his. I strolled across the beach and was unable to realise that this is not real. I asked myself, where the hell am I?? Oh no..This ain’t hell, this is heaven!! M I fucking dead? “No” came the answer from distant land. I screamed “anybody there”, no response, screamed again “anybody there??” Huh, no response yet again. I lay down on the sand, stared at the moon and asked her,” How do you look so gorgeous? How come you have so many scars on your face but still remain an eternal beauty?” For an hour or two I kept on staring at the sky, the waves and the beautiful blue bio-luminescent planktons which were washed on to the shore. I was not able to realise whether I was dead or alive and yet there was no fear as I was living my dream, an untamed one. Questions flowed across my mind and I had answers to none still I didn’t let them bother me. Memories were the only companion and some of them were as beautiful as the moon and rest as dark as the night. All of a sudden a shooting star captured my attention. I was not sure as to what I should pray for, maybe a day’s happiness, maybe a bread for a starving child, maybe a shoulder for the elderly people in old-age homes, maybe strength for a mother who lost her child, maybe courage for a friend who is destroyed in love, or maybe a world without boundaries.
Some people in this world consider life as a party whereas some people struggle to meet both the ends. What is the reason of this imparity? What is the solution to this? None of us have the answers. We all love to gorge on different varieties of scotch, relish the most exquisite delicacies served on the dinner plate and smoke the most noted cigar from Cuba. Flamboyant lifestyle is what each and every homo-sapien desires for. Did any of us ever realise what a little child forced to beg on the streets will feed on when he/she is hungry? What will he/she wear when chilly winds blow across the streets and people cuddle inside their blankets? These thoughts are always ignored by us (even I am a part of it) as they do not bring any sense to our so called meaningful lives. Some of the feelings are squashed at the very moment itself because you would only be able to help others if you are able to help yourself. The common layman is always bounded by his duties which ultimately never get separated from him unless and until he gets to meet the utter truth, called death. This may sound as the most obnoxious comment and may be greeted with disgust, but who cares. I speak what I feel like and they come directly from the core of my heart. You accept it or you don’t doesn’t bother me. I don’t give a damn to it. Within us is the ocean of bliss and human mind is the source of infinite peace.
I was completely into lucid dreaming and could sometime hear the rustling sound of the fan. The random movement of the eye was felt sometimes but I was in a state of trance.

So many people nowadays complain that they lack imagination; why not try something?

Imagination- I bet you all know what it is; the simple visualisation of something in your mind, having a brilliant idea that no one ever had before, seeing things others don’t even dream of- this is imagination.

How to obtain it? easy enough… But first we must know how it works: The imagination is the creation, the visualisation of extraordinary, or even common things inside your head. The funny thing about imagination is that you don’t need images, you don’t even need a starting point, it just pops inside your head. So in order to obtain it you must not use pre- established images like movies or theatres. Try something that lacks visual images, like listening to music, or even reading, but books with no images. That will make you imagine how the characters look like, how they feel, what they act like.

Another method, used by children mostly, is to combine things that you find common into extraordinary things. Ever thought why your children are scared of the monster in the wardrobe? Try adding teeth to a clothes- hanger, maybe some feathers from a bird you saw the other day, flashy eyes like your car’s lights and voila! a monster that would terrorize any infant. The point is to create your own images inside your head.

Try it! It isn’t that hard!

Having realized you are dreaming, your brain can then decide what happens next, whatever fantasy it might be. In theory, this means that people could choose what to dream about.

If you watched the movie Inception, a duo of developers from Brooklyn, New York, have built, in a twist straight out of the film, a sleeping mask which has been designed to allow people to control their so-called lucid dreams.

Though appearing to all intents and purposes to be a standard sleeping mask, Remee – as the device has been dubbed – has been hailed as a unique REM enhancing device – aimed at helping steer sleepers into lucid dreaming by making the brain aware that it is in that state. In theory, this means that people could choose what to dream about.

Inception, directed by Christoper Nolan featured a team of corporate spies entering dreams to plant ideas into the subconscious, set in a world where technology enters human minds via dream invasion, an idea that was a decade old. That vision is now closer to fruition, thanks to this brainchild of Duncan Frazier and Steve McGuigan – two 30 year-olds, their new company dubbed Bitbanger Labs.

They put up their project ideas on the crowd funding website at this URL – http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1047510073/remee-the-rem-enhancing-lucid-dreaming-mask - aiming to raising $35,000 in funding, but in fact finding that over 6,550 people were prepared to pledge an amazing $572,891. On the inside face of the sleeping mask one finds a series of six red LED lights – blinking too faintly to wake the sleeper, but visible to the alert brain, lights programmable by the person using the mask.

During sleep, there are two main stages, these being non-REM and REM – Rapid Eye Movement – between which states people invariably swing as the night progresses, REM stages, where most dreaming occurs, lasting the longest towards the morning hours.

This device is designed to kick into action when these longer REM stages begin, entering dreams via the blinking lights, the device waiting four to five hours until the sleeper gets into the heavy REM stages before setting the red lights going. It is a brilliantly simple idea in that, whatever you are doing in the dream, you see a pattern of red lights flashing in the distance, which tell the brain that you are dreaming, not unlike the Inception totem object featured in the film.

Having realized you are dreaming, your brain can then decide what happens next, whatever fantasy it might be. To simplify things the inventors set up the sleepwithremee.com website – users can adjust setups, like when to start light sequences and repeat them, as well as varying light intensity.

Remee displays light patterns for 15 to 20 seconds every 15 minutes, though non-REM sleep is mostly unaffected by the lights, and test subjects using the masks reported no problems with use. That said, reaching a state of lucidity does not happen every time.

This revolutionary Remee sleeping mask is not only light, but also works for several months on tiny 3V coin cell batteries in use only when the lights are blinking. People can pre-order masks, available in five colour options and priced at $95 each – advance orders already past the 7,000 mark, from Australia, Italy and Spain among others.

McGuigan graduated with a degree in computer science from Lock Haven University, and Frazier studied film at Arizona State University, so their technical skills overlapped, making the joint project into an inventive and interesting success story.

Showing how feral children, which are children with an inability to speak a language, learn to speak a language. It's insightful and interesting to hear of stories and breakthroughs in all cases of speech pathologist's testing. Part of this writing is based on the movie "Nell" and how Feral children are seen as within the community.

By Gianni Galioto

Feral children have been around for many years but it has only recently been discovered how and why they are like this. The language development of feral children differs from the correct structure of children’s language development. The reason for their different development of the language is because of from a very young age, these children have lived in isolation from human contact and have been unexposed to or unaware of human behaviours and crucially, human language. The critical age in which we develop a language is roughly between 2 years of age till puberty. There are ways to go about fixing/helping a feral child’s language development past the ‘expiry date’ but they are only able to learn to an extent.

Due to their impairments in language development, feral children are unable to communicate correctly with other humans. It is because of their isolation that they have been unable to see how other humans act within society. From the film ‘Nell’, Nell had learnt the English language without pronouncing words properly. She grew up with her mother in the woods, isolated from the world, and pronounced words by skipping consonants due to her mother’s speech impairment due to half her face being paralyzed. When she had gone to town with Jerry, the town doctor, she was scared at first but had slowly adapted to the scene and nature of humans, although in some circumstances she had not realised what she was doing. In other cases, there have been stories of ‘wild boys’ who were young boys that had been raised in the wild by animals. Some of the stories state that these ‘wild boys’ had been captured and brought back to civilization where some had caught on with the trends of human behaviour and others had escaped back to the wild.

There is a critical period in time where a child’s language development is at its peak. The hypothesis by Eric Lenneberg in 1967 states that the before the age of 2, language acquisition is not possible because the brain has not matured enough. It goes on to say that to acquire a language you must be exposed to sufficient amount of language during the critical period between the age of 2 and puberty. In many of the feral children reports, most of the specimens were young when abandoned. Therefore while their critical language development period, they had either acquired no language at all, or simply learned a language and behavioral skills of an animal. Another hypothesis, by Naom Chomsky, states that the inborn language development of humans depends on the rules that occur in human language. The development occurs if there is exposure to language in the person’s environment. He also explains that the brain of a language begins in an initial state and then goes through a series of states until it reaches a steady state in which it is no longer able to process changes.

Over the years, doctors and speech pathologists have studied the speech and language of feral children and have brought up ideas and ways to help teach these feral children the a correct language. Some feral children have been able to learn how to write and read while others still behave in the manner in which they grew up with. It is very hard for the feral children to pick up a language after the critical age so when they are taught a language, everything might not be fixed from their native tongue. In one unique case, a French girl was taught to read and write after being abandoned in the forest for 10 years and had succeeded in complete intellectual rehabilitation. Speech pathologists go about teaching the feral children by surrounding them with the language and human behaviours so they can slowly develop themselves.

Each case of feral children differs from one another but they all suffer from an incorrect language development and this was due to the fact that each of them had been abandoned or isolated during the critical period between ages 2 and puberty. If they are developing outside the critical period, it will take much longer and may not always have a full effect. Speech pathologists will continue to create new and innovative ways to teach feral children over the years but it will still take time for them to learn it. For children to acquire ‘normal’ learning language, parents must expose them to language and to human behavioural skills in this critical period.

There was a time when dreams were interesting to me and interpreting my dreams seemed to hold the key to all my life's mysteries. Not anymore. Yet, Dream therapy-a branch of alternative psychology- continues to intrigue and interest me.

What is Dream therapy?

Dream therapy is a branch of alternative psychology which involves learning to interpret your own dreams by keeping a dream diary. When the term “dream therapy” pops up, it is common to think that it is the practice of having your dreams interpreted for you. But Dream therapy is not about having your dreams interpreted for you by a therapist. Rather it is a process by which you record your dreams (whatever you remember of it) in a diary and study or analyze the dream with the help of your therapist.

Having your dreams interpreted by someone else, isn’t dream therapy.

In dream therapy, you journal your dreams and study them. Analyzing your dreams, in such a way, can help you gain emotional well-being by providing a better insight into your fears or dilemmas.

There are several “dream” dictionaries” available in the market today. A dream dictionary is like a directory of possible meanings that can be applied to the symbols we remember from our dreams. However, when interpreting dreams, dictionaries should be used for general reference only. As any symbol in a dream can really mean will be specific to the person who has the dream.

Dream Therapy is as individual as you are. What one symbol means to your subconscious is probably totally different for someone else. Dream Therapy is based on the theory that the reason we dream is to make us aware of feelings or information in our minds that we have either suppressed or not even thought of. Only the person who dreams can truly interpret and understand the meaning of the dream. Dreams are unique to the person and so are best understood by the individual himself/herself.

The effectiveness of Dream therapy thus depends a lot upon the individual. It is a progress that takes time and commitment on the individuals part. .

If you would like to interpret your dreams, you can start now by trying to recollect your dreams and noting it down in a diary. Then you may approach a therapist or person qualified in the interpretation of dreams or you can buy a dream dictionary to help you understand the meaning of the symbols that appear in your dream.

As I’ve explained in the articles in my description, lucid dreams are dreams where you know you are in a dream. Here is a description of how my lucid dream from last night went:

So I was in a professional basketball game, although I forgot what team I was playing for. My brother was in the stands, and he hated me. So he bet 10 million dollars that my team would lose. But I was on fire that day, and our team actually won! So after the game, I went outside, and he was standing there with a gun pointed at my chest. So I found the way of transportation closest to me; a motorcycle. I zoomed away and apparently, he found one too. We rode until I ran out of gas. So I stopped and hid behind a tree. Two women walking saw my brother and me, and they started teasing him that I was hiding. He got frustrated. But then I realized; MY BROTHER CAN’T HAVE A GUN! And I knew it was a dream. So at the right moment, I kicked my brother off his motorcycle and rode away (because I knew he wouldn’t get hurt).

So that’s basically how lucid dreams go. You’re in hot pursuit and you feel something bad will happen, when you have a sudden realization.

Thanks for reading,
