After the prosecution has convicted Mrs. Wanda Eileen Barzee whom pled guilty with the promise she will testify against her husband Brian David Mitchell, she gets 15 years.  The abduction of Elizabeth Smart in 2002 was a horrifying experience for Elizabeth whom was held in captivity for 9 months.  Elizabeth reported that she was raped every day of her captivity.  I can’t imagine a woman helping her husband to kidnap and hold hostage a child of 14 years old and know that he was raping her everyday.  I feel that the verdict was not enough,  I know that they are focusing more on Brian David Mitchell for the punishment as Mrs. Barzee had been a patient of a mental facility.   Elizabeth had testified that Mrs. Barzee was extremely jealous of her but continued to help in the brutal treatment of Elizabeth Smart.  Mr. Mitchell was a self proclaimed profit who called himself Emmanuel.  Elizabeth Smart is a beautiful woman now 21 years old, how she has overcome the abuse is completely miraculous.  Elizabeth is a student of Brigham Young University.  We will continue to wait for the state charges to come in on both Barzee and Mitchell on kidnapping and sexual assault.
