Al Capone

For some reason or another. Alphonso Capone, known to the masses as Al, don’t get mention alot when you hear Lucky Luciano,  or Lansky. I guess they was still building their reputations. But it does make you wonder why two Italians didn’t try to work together.

But Capone image loom larger than Luciano. And Hollywood myth has made him a mobster icon. And with his second in command being a strict enforcer. Which has been challenged in some circles. He wasn’t easily pushed around in Chicago. But maybe it’s Capone, who more than anyone alerted you to how easy law officials can be bribed. Officers, judges, lawyers was all succumbed to working on the other sided of the law.

An the Untouchable television show with Robert Stack. Just explode his mythical status that more. While the government hounded other firmly with investigations about their dealings. They was able to get Capone over tax evasion. Only, if he had a Meyer Lansky in his group.

But it’s the ladies who love these mobsters unconditionally that amazed me. They never seem to leave them. It’s like they feel they can’t survive. Or the Catholics religion has spinned no divorce to the extreme. That a bad marriage is a fair one. I’m sure they loved their spouses. But life has more to offer.
