Alitalia Plane Hijacking Foiled
A passenger who seemed anxious to attack a flight attendant Alitalia flight AZ329 numbered in the flight from Paris to Rome on Sunday (04/24/2011) night.
Passengers are then requested that he diverted the flight to Tripoli, Libya, the airline said.
However, efforts could be thwarted hijackers after the crew cabin paralyze him. The aircraft and 131 passengers were safely landed at Fiumicino airport in Rome. The attacker then dragged to the local police custody, while the flight attendant who became victims treated at the clinic at the airport because it suffered minor injuries.
Italian state news agency, ANSA, reported that the attacker was a man Kazakhstan and he attacked a flight attendant with nail clippers. A number of other Italian media, quoting police sources, said the man was armed with such a small knife.
