Behind The Walls: “Making It Through a Tough Time” by Tavis Taylor

Shedding light on some of life’s darkest concerns.

Everybody has a testimony of some sorts. We all have our obstacles to overcome in life, which in turn make us stronger for tomorrow. Being selfless enough to use your testimony in helping others is the greatest satisfaction of all. People tend to gravitate towards those who’ve walked in their shoes, fallen down and gotten back up. Being amongst the people makes you touchable and more relatable to a young person headed in the wrong direction. Your experiences prepare you for larger things in the big picture. It’s often said ‘the game is made to be sold, not told,’ but why not do both? Giving of yourself is very under-rated in today’s world. Putting people first and foremost, worries about money become a forgotten state of mind. If one doesn’t tell their testimony, if goes to the grave with them. One life may have been saved, or maybe 1,000. The liberating experience of speaking from a first-person narrative can greatly impact the impressionable minds of our youth, as well as adults seeking redemption. We need more success stories, more smiles, hugs, and kisses-to make the world around us a better place.

The cold bars of prison did not stop one woman from finding the light amid the darkness. In, Behind the Walls: Making it Through a Tough Time, author Tavis Taylor shares this hope not only to inmates but to others who feel like they are trapped in their own cell.

Behind the Walls was written while the author was serving time in Gwinnet County Jail. This groundbreaking message will open your eyes to the truth for getting into, staying, and being productive in the body of Christ.  It will help you deal with your questions and concerns about getting close to God while you are incarcerated.  Whether you are a new Christian or re-establishing your relationship with God, this book will walk you through the process of getting to that place of peace.  It will teach you how to utilize scripture for prayer as well.

Most of all, this edifying book will assist you in releasing the guilt of what you have done so that you can move forward while incarcerated. This book will help you during your incarceration and might even help you be released from your state of incarceration.  Ultimately, it leaves messages that are aimed to be treasured even after incarceration.

Part journal and part self-help, this Behind the Walls was tailored to shed light on some of life’s darkest concerns. With thought-provoking Biblical scriptures and eye-opening personal reflections, this book will bring comfort to the heart and motivation to the spirit.

Ms. Taylor has written a book called \”Behind the Walls\” and has also appeared on the Atlanta Live show. I feel the image she portrays is not the image of Christian or Growing Christian establishing an Outreach Ministries. She lives a lifestyle totally different outside the church and has been convicted of several crimes just last year of 2010. Ms. Taylor has a background of dishonesty and has had 2 driving under the influence offences in gwinnett county, and in walton county she has been charged with battery, cruelty to children, family violence. I feel that this organization needs to know of this type of behavior is unacceptable and misleading to our youth and young women. Life is full of choices we make and we learn from the mistakes we make in life and in return may can counsel someone else down those troubled roads.

This woman is so fake, fraud and so unprofessional! I’m from Monroe, GA is this woman is a complete drama QUEEN! She is so immature and full of hate. Trust me I wouldn’t buy this book because she uses the bible to try to make a buck! I’ve seen this woman acting a complete fool down the street from my house…..cussing, fighting her ex-boyfriend with own son in his arms and scratching his vehicle with her car keys! This just happened last year and now she calling herself a changed person and ordained minister….don’t stand too close u might get struck by lightening!
